After five insane seasons, Gotham ends its run next Thursday with an hour that should be packed to the brim with surprises as the series skips ahead ten years and finally introduces the Batman (David Mazouz) himself.

While the new batch of photos aren't particularly spoiler-y and don't contain a real look at the latest Batman suit, they do give a fresh look at several members of the principal cast in their future guises, including Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Lee Thompkins (Morena Baccarin), Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk), Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), and The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).

Plus, Camren Bicondova has confirmed that she will not be appearing in the series finale as Catwoman and that Lili Simmons will instead be playing the older Selina Kyle. Following her announcement, Entertainment Weekly shared a first look at Simmons in character, which you can also view below.

Very excited to have Cameron Monaghan back, his absence has very much been felt.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Yeah always fun to have him around, if only they had gotten a full 22 episodes, pretty sure Jeremiah would have taken the first half of the season as big bad before Bane and Nyssa came in during the second half, instead of them having to split the 12 episodes between going back and fourth between the two plots

So stupid casting another actress as Catwoman. The chick who plays her now is bloody 19... why not just age her up a little?

TerryTerrapin
TerryTerrapin - 4/20/2019, 8:37 AM
@RorMachine - At least they took the effort to cast someone who looks like the original actress.
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 4/20/2019, 9:53 AM
@RorMachine - What are you talking about? The original actress didn't want to play her in the finale. They had to recast her.

She was pretty vague about her reasons. But my guess is it was to do with her injury.

@RorMachine - She posted a beautiful open letter and stated that it was her own decision to step back.
Trimount
Trimount - 4/20/2019, 4:22 PM
@RorMachine - it is a shame. I especially liked her in the first part of of the finale this week.
Vandalore
Vandalore - 4/20/2019, 7:09 PM
@RorMachine - I think she was feeling self conscious about her appearance. Shes currently in that awkward "not still a kid but not yet a woman" awkward phase in her development and I think she honestly didnt think she was capable of being a convincing 28 year old on screen. Her voice is still very moist and child like, she gained a bit of weight of the past 2 years and her face plumped up quite a bit. The show attempted to slim her down with that Catsuit having shoulder pads but she instead looked like a linebacker all season.

The unfortunate truth is both her and David Mazouz look and sound way too young still to play Catwoman and Batman in their late 20s. David has a work around since they are using a body double and digitized his Batman voice, but Selina is going to be front and center and such tricks wouldn't work. It was probably a sad decision for her and as much as I feel she deserves to cross the finish line with the rest of the cast, I think she made the right call for the good of the shows finale and gave it the best chance of being able to live up to fans expectations for the end of GOTHAM.

Wow wtf spell check. I definitely didn't type moist. I typed her voice is still very mousey and child like (just had to stop spell check from changing it to moist again...)

Vandalore
Vandalore - 4/20/2019, 9:56 PM
@geronimo162000 - oh totally. I'm just glad 8 noticed it after I posted, my reputation around here is shit enough as it is, I didnt need creepy added to my repertoire.

And as for the topic of her appearance having been a factor, Hollywood is a tough business and I'm just calling it out. Actors get judged based on appearance all the time. It's a part of casting. It's not moral or fair but it is what it is.
dracula
dracula - 4/20/2019, 10:55 PM
@RorMachine - It was the actresses choice. Although if they were going to replace her they may as well have replaced David as well. But from what I can tell we are not getting 28 year old Bruce Wayne in the episode only Batman. to bad was hopeing for a scene between them both in and out of costume

Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 4/21/2019, 1:14 PM
@blitzburgh - She broke/injured her leg before the start of the season. Why do you think a Catwoman stunt double was used in basically every scene?

Sean Pertwee looks great in that suit! The guy is a great actor.
Now that this is ending, maybe we'll get him in a DW episode. I'd love for him to get a part, like Throughton's sons did, something nice and cute with some importance to the story.

@8thDoctor - Maybe for the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who they will actually do more than 1 special. they said they were going to for the 50th, but all they did was Day Of The Doctor, would be great to see some past doctors team up, maybe do a new 3 doctors adventure with
David Bradly as the first doctor
Sam Troughton as the second doctor
Sean Pertwee as the third doctor
4thMaster
4thMaster - 4/20/2019, 11:30 PM
@dracula - Big Finish did pull off a massive 8 Doctors + companions vs the Master story, that was overall better than Day of the Doctor (it didn't try to do so many things at once), so it wasn't only 1 special. But I agree, hopefully for the 60th they manage to go crazy with specials and multi-Doctor stories!
