Gotham ends its run this Thursday night with the long-awaited arrival of the Dark Knight (David Mazouz) and it looks like he's not going to waste any time as he promptly lets the city know, in typical Caped Crusader fashion, that there's a new sheriff in town.

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of friends and foes that aren't going to be particularly pleased with the arrival of the Batman and the new series finale trailer teases some of the principal cast's initial reactions to his mysterious arrival. The trailer also features our first look at Lili Simmons (Westworld) as the adult Selina Kyle and a young Barbara Gordon.

Gotham features:

That have alot away for the finale. Also if Jim cabt tell with the voice modulation that's clearly Bruce Wayne speaking I have no faith in his police detective skills lol.

@MrCamw1 - I guess the explanation is that he hasn't hear Bruce speak in 10 years and has more or less forgotten about him.

I'm a huge Gotham fan, but for some reason... This does not excite me at all.

Going to miss this show so much, it ties with Buffy The Vampire Slayer as my favorite show

So...kinda like Smallville, this show only gets interesting in the last episode.

Why didn't they just start here? Sigh.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - at least Smallville was genuinely compelling at times, even without the tights.

It did the "see how the legend began" thing very well and put a nice contemporary spin on things.

Gotham went from being about a proto-Commish Gordon show to...whatever the hell it is now.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - You should try watching Smallville again now. It's actually even better then I remembered. Especially Season 2 and after.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - Tried rewatching Smallville a while back...........the early seasons have not aged well, tried to hard and usually failed to be like

never came close to being as good.
Gotham may have its problems (what show doesnt), but at least it knew what it was and didn't try to be like other shows

Gotham was good entertainment.

Now, how about a proper Batman show with Batman in it as the main character and not A.his back to the camera B. Not portrayed by a stunt double and C. Existing in a series but never appearing on screen.

It does not need to be an origin story since we just got that and everyone knows the origin. Put it on HBO or DC Universe with a monster budget. Hell, I'd let the CW take a crack at it if we have to settle for it.

@zachman2013 - A Batman show on DC Universe would be great, Doom Patrol has been phenomenal. Won't happen tho, I'm surprised Bruce is even showing up on Titans.

@zachman2013 -
That's never going to happen, though (at least, not any time soon). Batman is WB's movie cash cow. They are not going to let him on television, unless it's some special circumstance (such as the series finale of Gotham or as a silent silhouette on their paid streaming service). We'd be lucky just to see Bruce Wayne make an appearance on the CW or something.

We'll get a Superman series before Batman ever touches the small screen, and that's only because his film franchise sunk.

We’re not gonna get a Batman or Superman tv show people gotta let that dream die.

@MarvelDCAllDay - I don't see why not with Superman. If they let Supergirl use him, there's no reason they shouldn't give him his own show. We've had Superman shows before like The Adventures of Lois and Clark.

It’s starting to remind me of a darker version of the old Adam West Batman series.

I guess the lesson is - if you can't afford it, don't even try it. What a cheap mess.

This show is good and I recently caught up. I can’t wait for the finale. This has been a true dc fan show. They explain really well the Why Gotham is how it is and why the villains are who and why they are. There’s is much more deeper meaning to this show. Like why Gordon lets Batman do what he does and why he sides with him. Because he is a good guy cop and incorruptible but policing in Gotham has made him make bad decisions that he has to live with. But because he is the only “white knight” in Gotham he hides his mistakes and lives with the guilt. Which in turn is why he joins up with Batman and allows his vigilantism to happen and Gordon backs him up.

Video not available in Canada...any sign of Two Face? Too bad that Dent was only used in Season 2 I think.

So I don't even watch the show, but I do have the say I LOVE the look of this Joker. The reason we love CBM's is because we love the characters yet we get to experience something new with every incarnation. This Joker looks ripped straight out of the comics along with some flare. He's ugly, he's bleach white... he's exactly the Joker we envisioned but with some new pieces. Really looking forward to this.

Gonna miss this show. It was fun. The action, especially from the villains, was fun yet serious. The violent nature of many scenes was surprising and, therefore, kept things edgy. It was easy for people to criticize but, for me, it was a hundred times better than Flash, Supergirl, or Arrow.
