November 28th is shaping up to a big one for Supergirl as not only will the episode launch the epic four-part DCTV crossover event, it will also feature the return of the original Girl of Steel, Helen Slater, as Eliza Danvers.

Her visit seems to set a couple things in motion as Alex finally decides it's time to have a long overdue chat with her mother about something important, Kara discovers Mon-El may think of her as more than a friend, and Jimmy & Winn contemplate whether they should come clean about Guardian. Elsewhere, Supergirl has her hands full with CADMUS when they unleash a virus that can kill any nearby aliens almost instantly. Plus, the tail-end of the episode will see Barry Allen & Cisco Ramon pop in and ask for her help in stopping an alien invasion!

Check out the synopsis below:

A NIGHT OF CONFESSIONS; THE EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER KICKS OFF TONIGHT — Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters. Alex (Chyler Leigh) decides it’s time to come out to her mother; Kara (Melissa Benoist) is shocked when Eliza suggests Mon-El (Chris Wood) has feelings for her, and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) consider telling Kara the truth about the Guardian. Meanwhile, CADMUS unleashes a virus that instantly kills any alien in the vicinity so Kara enlists an unexpected ally – Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath). The epic superhero crossover kicks off tonight when Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) and Cisco Ramon (guest star Carlos Valdes) seek Kara’s help with an alien invasion on their Earth. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Derek Simon (#208). Original airdate 11/28/2016.

This is going up against the Fudge Packers vs Sheagles on Monday Night Football. Given the playoff implications, the NFL is going to stomp the comic book world once again.

Supergirl season two keeps getting better and better (although the Parasite episode was only fair).

@GuyGadbois - I personally thought the Parasite episode was far better than the previous one. It could have done without all of that propaganda, but that depiction of Parasite was AMAZING. Too bad Flash couldn't get the characterization of their own villain right this week.

So another universal threat to existence and they get only Supergirl, no Superman. Even as they made his existence known in the CW universe, he's still unreachable.

"Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters. Alex (Chyler Leigh) decides it’s time to come out to her mother; Kara (Melissa Benoist) is shocked when Eliza suggests Mon-El (Chris Wood) has feelings for her"

This will be the entire god damn episode. No I'm sorry, I'm sorry... this will be 98% of the god damn episode. At the very end the Flash shows up and goes, "Oh, and shit's going down." And she says, "But my sister's gay." Barry stares at her a moment, takes a big exasperated breath, and says "Nevermind" then destroys the device that allows him to cross into her dimension. Supergirl cancelled.

We can only hope.
