SUPERMAN & LOIS Season 4 Is Now Believed To Be Delayed Until Summer of 2024

A new report from Variety, leads us to believe the wait for the highly-anticipated Superman & Lois Season 4, will extensively continue to remain "highly-anticipated" most likely until summer

Currently unbeknownst by anyone, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA Strike does not seem to be ending anytime soon, as members worldwide are still protesting through the streets, and several production companies to resultingly negotiate a deal for fair compensation.

Equipped to protest moving into the upcoming 2024 calender year, we can expect an indefinite halt on all our favorite televsion shows and highly-anticipated upcoming films -- some of which have already been halted.

A new report from Variety (full Report here) has come out discussing a possible new release date for CW's Superman & Lois Season 4, following the network releasing their Fall season line-up, with the series being notably absent, as expected.

"Long-running shows like the high school sports drama “All American” and its spinoff, “All American: Homecoming,” as well as the Jared Padalecki action-drama “Walker” and the DC series “Superman & Lois,” all have been renewed for the upcoming season. However, those shows won’t likely be on air until sometime next summer on account of Hollywood’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes." - Jennifer Maas, Variety

Of course, it was generally known Superman & Lois would expect an undetermined delay in its standard Spring-Seasonal premiere date airing, but now, the current-planned release schedule is believed to be summer of this year - that is if the WGA and SAG-AFTRA Strike come to close for the series to begin production soon.

DC's Superman & Lois Season 4 currently does not have a set premiere date slated on The CW network, nor has production started in wake of the ongoing strike's.

After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books' famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever -- dealing with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch star as the title characters Clark Kent / Superman, Earth's greatest superhero, and Lois Lane, a world-renowned journalist. Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin portray the couple's twin sons Jonathan and Jordan Kent, with Michael Bishop replacing the former in the third season. The series also stars Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tayler Buck, Sofia Hasmik, and Chad L. Coleman.

Still bummed about most of the cast not being series regulars anymore but hope they still show up from time to time.

This show is my favorite Superman media in awhile (haven’t seen My Adventures yet) so I hope it doesn’t end soon but if so then it’s given a proper goodbye atleast.

Season rankings (favorite to least)…

1. S1
2. S3
3. S2

@TheVisionary25 - It sucks that the side characters were finally starting to grow on me, including the Kushings.

OT: Any fans of Fables? Because Bill Willingham just made one of the dopest, ballsiest, most batshit crazy impressive moves of any IP owner in history.

Dc were [frick]ing with him (which is why the book has been delayed over and over for a while now) so he exercised the one right he has: to give up all his rights and make the IP public domain. DC about to lose their shit.

He just gave up one of the most potentially lucrative Vertigo properties there is just so DC no longer has exclusive rights to it.

This is the sort of move that would make Alan Moore envious.

@ObserverIO - Fables is so fuсking good (big fan of fables, folklore and fairy tales in general). Really hope this gets made into a multiple season live-action show now.

@bkmeijer1 - They tried it twice, but instead they made Grimm and Once Upon A Time. Maybe third time's the charm.

@ObserverIO - I think both tried to hard to have the fairy tale and the modern real world stories collide. If Fables keeps that distinction a bit more... well, distinct (ehich it can, through Fabletown, The Farm and the Homelands), I'll enjoy it much more.

Fables, fairy tales and folklore are so appealing in that it is has it's own low fantasy setting (although based on the real world). It's a fine line to walk though.

I truly feel this show doesn't get the credit it deserves just because it airs on the CW I mean look at the quality of season and compare it to the various MCU shows and SW shows and the big YouTube personalities barely talk about it.

@Godzilla2000Zer - It's definitely because of The CW disrespect and the bad taste of the end of the Arrowverse. Since it has a relationship to those shows most just assume the writing is bad which is definitely not the case here.

This show is worth the wait. It also has to deal with downgrading basically the whole cast. I rather they take their time, figure it all out and put out the best content they can.
