BARRY AND IRIS GO TO COUPLES THERAPY - Barry (Grant Gustin) has his hands full when he takes on a dangerous meta (guest star Dominic Burgess) who can control technology, while also confronting an obstacle in his personal life: the ramifications of abandoning Iris (Candice Patton) for six months to balance the Speed Force. Meanwhile, Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in for a hot date with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), but she gets annoyed when his work keeps them apart. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#402). Original airdate 10/17/2017.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

Now his suit is causing malfunctions. How about putting the suit inside a ring?

I thought it was a really good emotional premiere. Nice little sweet moments in there. I've got high hopes for this season to be a return to form similar to how season 5 was for Arrow. No speedster villain this year is a good start. I wonder what they'll do with Wells this year.

LOL that final part is like an homage to when Barry got fat once in the comics and couldn't run.

Wally sounded funny there.

Excited for next week.

Honestly, I felt this was a huge step up over most of season 3. Grant's "demented" persona was some of his best acting for the entire show. It's nice to see Caitlin sorta healthy again. Also, Thinker REALLY has me excited and I'm surprised they chose to keep his look so close to the comics. Can't wait to see Elongated Man's debut.

I thought it was a good episode. I didn't like how weak they made Wally. It would have been interesting to see him play The Flash while Barry recuperate.

The next episode looks horribly goofy.

I'll give it a few more episodes.

I really liked this episode, that "faith" speech Joe gave to Iris was good, but the "Flash Reborn" scene was great!
Nothing big happened, that's alright, it's just a premiere.
Fingers crossed, man!

S04E01 was not very good at all...
Writers, you need to step it up and stop taking lame and cheesy ways out...
Caitlin Snow.. Why are you now trailer trash working at a Coyote Ugly?
Come on season 4...
Don't drop the ball.

The only thing I noticed was that Caitlyn looks 100% better this season. She just looked average in the previous season to me, but last night's episode, she was a total hottie.

So I guess that The Thinker is after whatever is in Barry's brain? Like he absorbed so much in the speed force, it made him wacky? I think that is what is going on.
