Some new photos from the set of The CW's The Flash have been shared online, and they reveal that Iris West (Candice Patton) will be suiting-up in her very own superhero costume at some point. Take a look.

Iris West... superhero?

Thanks to CanadaGraphs, we have a sneak peek at the season 4 episode of The Flash that's currently shooting in the Coal Harbour area of Vancouver, and the photos reveal that Candice Patton's Iris West is sporting a costume that looks somewhat similar to Doctor Light's duds.

We don't have many details on the scene that's being filmed here but reports indicate that at one point West hands over a criminal to the CCPD, and "her actions strongly suggested she did this with super speed." Is Iris destined to become a new speedster on the show, or will this be a temporary thing?

The pics and the statements about her doing it irregular super speed gives more evidence to the theory that Iris is pregnant. The theory originally emerged (at least from what I’ve seen) from last episode when Barry and Iris had that moment where they were both moving at super speeds in the courtroom. People on Tumblr and YoutTube theorized that perhaps that happened because Iris is pregnant with Barry’s kid(s) and thusly has some SpeedForce inside her...

Hopefully this is just an Iris for another Earth. We don't need them giving the most useless, annoying character on the show powers.

Iris had powers in the recent books as well, and the CW is basing a lot of their stuff on the New 52 or Rebirth.

@GAThrawnIGF - I don't recall that. The costume she was wearing in new52 for an issue or two was just so she wouldn't get hurt by Flash's Superspeed/speedforce. She didn't have abilities.

Curious of what is going on. In the comics she also speed temporarily.

Her costume is also resembling to that of the Tornado Twins a bit.

This must be either 16/17th ep because they were doing a table read for the 15th back when the year had just began. (It's called "Enter Flashtime")

It was reported as well that Ralph and Joe were also on set.

Can't wait to see what the whole ordeal is behind.

@NotoriousWolf23 - Depends who you ask. Its my least favorite of the Arrowverse shows most of the time. It had one incredible episode this season, several good episodes, and then a bunch of mediocre to terrible episodes.

@NotoriousWolf23 - Yes it was. Which tells you, when I say that its my least favorite of the Arrowverse shows, how far the apple has fallen. Season 1 is probably my 3rd favorite Arrowverse season; its really great.
