Episode titles for the upcoming live-action Teen Titans drama from DC Entertainment reportedly outed the show's inclusion of Jason Todd, aka the Red Hood. It only took one day for a bit of internet sleuthing (via Heroic Hollywood) to deduce that actor Curran Walters, most recently seen on Girl Meets World, might be playing the second Batman sidekick.

Brad Anderson (Fringe, The Wire, The Machinist) is directing the pilot episode of Titans, which stars:
  • Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson
  • Anna Diop as Starfire
  • Teagan Croft as Raven
  • Alan Ritchson as Hawk
  • Minka Kelly as Dove
  • Ryan Potter as Beast Boy
  • Dwain Murphy as Negative Man
  • Jake Michaels as Cliff Steel
  • April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl
Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti wrote the script for the pilot.  Titans is rumored to have a 13-episode first season and will premiere in late-2018 as part of the launch line-up of DC Entertainment's untitled streaming platform.

@AndrewHolland - he has a pretty big forehead, a stunt double will probably have the hood on.

Usually I am up for this but IDK he seems quite young. Unless they really are going for Jason literally starting as Robin.

Or maybe he won't even be Robin here and just crosses paths with the Titans?

@NinnesMBC - Well seeing how we got our first look of Dick Grayson in Robin costume, him handing the torch to Jason and becoming Nightwing might be some bigger character ark in season 1. Heck, in this universe it could be that Dick is the one that introduces Jason to Bruce.

@NinnesMBC - maybe he can be Red X?

Why have so many members right off the bat? Just asking... even though I do admit that I prefer smaller teams so the relationships feel more intimate.

"group of young soon-to-be superheroes"

This is the show description!? They're all in their late 20s. Starfire is in her 30s.

Also, Starfire is 30 yet Raven is only 13? And Dick is still Robin meaning he's probably in his teens/early 20s. The ages are clearly all over the place at this stage. Still looking forward to seeing more of this though.

@MarkJulian - Don't you mean Teagan Croft as Raven? You have Starfire for her as well as Anna Diop.

I'm looking forward to this. I hope this streaming service does well. I could see all kinds of shows become a reality in both live action and animation from this.

He does seem awfully young if he's Jason. Compared to Brenton I would say he's more of a Tim Drake age, but I guess we will see. I always saw Batman as changing out his Robins every 5 years or so, but by the actors difference in ages it would be closer to 9 years.
