i know im against watching leaked videos before the actual movie comes out, but since i saw the original cut of watchmen, i made an exception (in other words, i couldnt resist)

it was great. i wont give anything away, there were microscopic changes though. these tiny alterations might be nitpicked by the "hardcore" fans, but i actually thought it made it more believable. the footage of his death was dramatic and epic and tragic, fully utilizing the beauty of motion picture that a comic couldnt quite capture. the use of music here also makes a great impact. it was basically the shit.

Wow. Using the music from Raging Bull, kind of makes it seem like Snyder was trying to hard. Might have been more powerful with a different choice of music, or none all together...

People, this is 3 of the 24 minutes that will be included in the film. You really aren't hurting yourselves watching it.

To me, it makes the scene in the bar when Nite-Owl beats the shit out of the Top-Knot guy much more anticipated.

lol, i just watched it! and it was absolutely [frick]ing awesome!! Watchmen probably is the best comic book movie so far (though i still find The Dark Knight to be a close contender) This movie was much better than the graphic novel in my oinion - Snyder did a great job!
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 7/13/2009, 5:46 PM
I agree. That scene above was just..at the risk of sounding a bit fruity..beautifully done. everything from the music to the intercuts of his past victories was pure class.

That was interesting, kind of sad, but you got to love Zack Snyder's style on how he stage action scenes.

ASSASSIN666 - 7/13/2009, 10:24 PM
Nobody has mentioned the copy of the graphic novel in Hollis' bookshelf in the scene. Clever, very clever. I'm sure Moore would've at least cracked a smile with that had he seen the damn movie.

Oh MY GOD! Thank was amazing.
It makes the movie 10 times, no, make that 14 times better. ----- It explains it all. ------
All movidom makes sense now.
It fades out all the campyness from ROTF.
I can see now that Jar Jarbinks needed to be in star wars and Jack Black in King Kong. After seeing this "The Spirit" transforms into a thing of wonder. It all makes sense now.

THIS
CHANGES
EVERYTHING!

just kiding. it was real kewl though. lol
