New Watchmen screenwriter Alex Tse has been charged with rework the script turned in by comic book movie veteran David Hayter, according to IGN Filmforce.

Tse is a relative newcomer to the industry, according to the fan site. Zack Snyder will direct for Warner Bros.

Tse's job is to knit together two of Hayter's drafts finished while Paul Greengrass was still attached as director.

The article speculates that the less-than-dazzling performance of Superman Returns could put a chill on Warner Bros. super-hero movies.
