All good things must come to an end, and next week,
Watchmen brings its phenomenal first season to a close with a finale that promises some major twists and turns as Angela Abar (Regina King) races against the clock to stop Senator Keene (James Wolk) and the Seventh Kavalry from killing Doctor Manhattan (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and taking his God-level power for themselves.
While it remains to be seen if HBO will decide to continue this series past this year, the premium cable network does label next week's hour as the "season finale," so we do know that they are keeping the door open for show creator Damon Lindelof if he wants to keep telling stories in this world.
