Entertainment Weekly has debuted the official cinematic trailer and poster for The Orville: New Horizons, the upcoming third season of the Seth MacFarlane-fronted sci-fi comedy series, which is finally set to debut on Hulu after a three-year hiatus due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

While plot details have mostly been kept under wraps, the new trailer does offer a quick sneak peek at what we can expect from the eleven-episode season and introduces a few new characters that will be joining the Orville crew on their next batch of adventures.

New Horizons will also feature the last performance of comedian Norm Macdonald, who completed his voice work for Lt. Yaphit before he passed away last September.

The main cast for season three will feature Seth MacFarlane (Capt. Ed Mercer), Adrianne Palicki (Cmdr. Kelly Grayson), Penny Johnson Jerald (Dr. Claire Finn), Scott Grimes (Lt. Gordon Malloy), Peter Macon (Lt. Cmdr. Bortus), Jessica Szohr (Lt. Talla Keyali), J Lee (Lt. Cmdr. John LaMarr), Mark Jackson (Isaac), Anne Winters (Charly Burke), and Chad L. Coleman (Klyden).

The Orville: New Horizons premieres June 2.

Seth MacFarlane’s epic space adventure series “The Orville” returns exclusively as a Hulu original series. Set 400 years in the future, “The Orville: New Horizons” finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.
