With only three episodes remaining this summer, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is really starting to up the ante and next week's episode promises to be a wild ride as Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) does everything she can to awaken Coulson (Clark Gregg) from within Sarge, however, her efforts may result in Sarge awakening something else entirely - something that can apparently take out Quake (Chloe Bennet) with one blow.

man i cant believe they killed davis. why not piper? she doesnt have a family to support T.T

i do like that the 2 actors take jabs at each other on twitter like they do on the show. the actress that plays piper tweeted at him, "of course aliens write things down you idiot."

cant believe i didnt catch the whole thing about family sooner. i figured it was about izel but i rewatched episode 100 the other day and my favorite moment is when fake mike is going through all the things coulson supposedly made up in his "dream" which included a family and a daughter he never had.

also cool to see that they could be from the same place as ghost rider, or atleast a similar one. and the use of realm instead of planet or dimension was interesting

It’s pretty quiet around here considering Marvel is announcing one sort of slate tomorrow. Actually kinda depressing actually. Is all the lore gone...was Endgame the “end”? Where’s the hype?!

Anyway, after watching Ant-Man and the Wasp today again for the second time, it shot up my list and is actually one of my favorites. I didn’t realize how decent it is...it’s pretty damn good. About to watch Guardians 2 in a little bit, let’s see if that one can improve in my rankings.

@Frshcoupe - I agree on AM & TW. I've got a few places where I think they went a little overboard on the comedy side but aside from those minor quibbles I quite enjoyed it.

Most of the future of the MCU is already pre-planned and mapped out via announcements prior. They can throw a few curveballs but we already know what we are getting, we just dont know when we are getting it.

Plus, Endgame was the end for a lot of fans and i think most people have not really accepted that yet. Many view it as a natural ending to a story arc, including those who run the MCU. This new story arc will be revealed by Marvel via what they announce and if it fails to entice then many will simply watch casually or lose interest.

Schedule at the moment is believed to be;
Black Widow (May 1, 2020)
The Eternals (November 6, 2020)
Shang Chi (February 12, 2021)
Black Panther 2 (May 6, 2021)
Spider-man 3 (July 2021)
Doctor Strange 2 (November 5, 2021)
Captain Marvel 2 (February 18, 2022)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 6, 2022)
Thor 4 (July 29, 2022)

The 2022 cosmic films serving as a 'trilogy' of sorts focusing around Adam Warlock. I also would'nt be surprised if Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts is announced along with teasing A-Force and potentially a Fantastic Four movie which would likely be set in the past.

X-Men is unlikely, but i could easily see an X-Men character showing up. Throwing in a member of the X-Men into Spider-man 3 would arguably help convince Sony to keep the contract going further (which is why we heard talk of Deadpool at one stage)

Tonight's episode was CRAZY. I hadn't been feeling Izel before now, but she might be the scariest MCU television villain since Killgrave.

What did Coulson/Sarge say his name was when he was talking with Izel? i thought it started with a P?

@tugboy - Patchakutiq is what he said. When I looked online to see if it has any Marvel lore nothing came up but apparently the name is Incan and means "he who overturns space and time" which I suppose is in keeping with the storyline.

@doomsday619 -
I believe the Shrike are a combination of the 'Brood' and the 'Spikes'

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Brood_(Race)
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Spikes_(Race)

At one point in the history of the 'Brood' they invaded Egypt and one of the rulers of Egypt was turned into a 'Brood'

Ezel is the 'Brood Queen', she created the Shrike.
Sarge is the 'Ruler' who was turned into a Brood, only this time he was an Inca emperor who was converted - his original name being Patchakutiq.

I believe this will result in a return to the Inca temple where Patchakutiq became 'Sarge' and that the temple is a method of converting people into 'Brood'/Shrike on a large scale.

Then again at this point its difficult really determining what they are taking inspiration from as the option of 'overturning space & time' gives quite a lot of options.

The comic con trailer definitely hints at the Incan idea though.
