Amid all the rumors and speculation surrounding Jeremy Renner's tragic snowplow accident, the Hawkeye star has taken to social media to share a heartfelt message with fans and loved ones.

Earlier this morning, Renner posted an image on Instagram of himself at home in a hospital bed receiving what appears to be physical therapy on his leg. Alongside the image was a lengthy message in which the Marvel actor promised to make a full recovery while also thanking everyone for their "messages and thoughtfulness."

"Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love ❤️ I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all," Renner wrote.

"These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all," he added.

While we still don't know the true extent of Renner's injuries, the image coupled with his message does give us a little insight into just how serious the accident was. Perhaps more importantly, we can see that the 52-year-old is in good spirits and appears to be on his way to what is hopefully a full recovery.

Of course, that will take time. Sources close to the actor told PEOPLE earlier this month that Renner is "making positive progress," but still faces "a long road to recovery."

The post comes after Renner returned to his Nevada home for the first time after his accident. On January 1, Renner was airlifted to a local medical center after he was run over by his own snowplow. A statement from his rep confirmed he suffered "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries," and underwent emergency surgery the next day.

While Renner has remained in good spirits on social media — and this image certainly seems to be a trend in the right direction for the actor — rumors have swirled around the internet regarding the seriousness of his injuries. Radar Online exclusive reported that a close friend of the actor described his condition as "much worse than anyone knows."

How long the actor remains sidelined remains to be seen, although it seems like he won't return to action for quite a while. What's important is that Jeremy Renner continues to make progress on his road to recovery. As always, we continue to share thoughts and prayers with the actor and father.
