Production is now underway on Marvel Studios' Ironheart in Atlanta, Georgia, but we're still finding out about new additions to the cast. Following the recent announcement that RuPaul's Drag Race alum Shea Couleé has boarded the project, Deadline reports that Zoe Terakes has also joined the ensemble.

Terakes, a transgender and non-binary actor who uses the they/them pronouns, is best known for their appearances in Nine Perfect Strangers and Wentworth. As per usual, no details on their character were provided, but they are said to have a "key role" in the Disney+ series.

Manny Montana (Mayans M.C.) and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Alden Ehrenreich are also set for significant roles in the show, and there's some speculation that one of them could play the son of Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger, Ezekiel “Zeke” Stane. That remains to be seen, but the character is expected to feature.

The first photos from the set were recently shared online, giving us a look at Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) in her prototype armor, along with costar Anthony Ramos, who appears to be playing a powerful villain known as The Hood.

Sam Bailey (Brown Girls) and Angely Barnes (Mythic Quest) were recently announced as directors, and have reportedly been enlisted to helm at least one episode a piece. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler will executive produce via his Proximity production company.

We still don't know a whole lot about Ironheart, but the series is expected to stick pretty closely to Riri's comic book origin as "the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man." There's also been some speculation that the character could be ret-conned as a Wakandan since she'll also appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

No premiere date has been announced.

So he/she was a man or a woman then changed to being a man or a woman then became non-binary.

Why bother changing just stay as the gender you are born with then say you're non binary.

It's depressing to me because half that terminology is based on lies. If we had the technology to shift from one sex to the other, then that would be accurate to describe as transitioned - but the reality is its chemical and physical mutilation as a result of trying to fit into overlapping and contradictory societal terminology that many would never have heard of in the first places and in many cases can be defined as castration.

This was and still is viewed as a horrific violation of homosexuals in the past because back then it was understood you couldn't simply switch sex. Nowadays its something people lie to themselves about, if I cut off 'x' part of myself or take chemicals to physically alter myself it's not the same as switching sex. It's insanity.

It's conversion therapy, only people have been convinced to do it on themselves through propaganda and viewing it as a trend. Conversion therapy is viewed as torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment and contrary to human rights norms - yet now people define their human rights as being able to mutilate themselves or pump themselves full of chemicals, latch bits on to give the illusion of a bodily change.

Reminds me more why I probably won't be watching this show.

Maybe Zoe Terakes is Justine Hammer/The Crimson Cowl.

@Repian - I can't find a full cast list for this, but with Ramos playing The Hood, I'm assuming that there's gonna be an Ezekiel Stane siting, so maybe there's gonna be some mixing, combining and matching of characters here where they blend Stane and Hammer's characters, or feature them both. The Iron Man franchise was no stranger to blending comic book stuff together into interesting amalgamations (Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo, Aldrich Killian/Mallen)

Ironheart seems like it's gonna irritate all the dumbest people in the fanbase, who are probably going to watch it anyway because some nerds are determined to justify all the bullying that their predecessors use to receive.
