THE MATRIX Star Carrie-Anne Moss Joins Joins The Cast Of A.K.A. JESSICA JONES
The latest addition to the cast of Marvel and Netflix's A.K.A. Jessica Jones is The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss. She joins star Krysten Ritter and the likes of David Tennant and Rachael Taylor.
The cast of A.K.A. Jessica Jones contines to get better and better, with Carrie-Anne Moss the latest addition to the Marvel and Netflix series which will debut later this year. According to The Wrap, it will be as "the no-nonsense Harper, a person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica — if the titular character doesn’t completely alienate her first, that is." Who?! I've looked, and this appears to be a new creation for the show. Do you have any theories?
In Marvel.com's press release (which has no additional details about this character), showrunner Melissa Rosenberg is quoted as saying, "Throughout her career, Carrie-Anne has embodied a wide range of characters in a compelling and relatable way and I have no doubt she will bring that talent to A.K.A. Jessica Jones." Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer/Marvel’s Head of Television adds: "Carrie-Anne has proven her ability to play complex characters with deep and layered inner lives. Her interaction with Jessica Jones will be one of the many highlights of the series."
Krysten Ritter plays Jessica Jones, who, after a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York. Moss joins a cast which also includes Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Killgrave/The Purple Man, and Rachael Taylor as Patricia Walker/Hellcat.
