In today's episode of Loki, Sylvie finally achieved her almost-lifelong goal when she killed the mastermind behind the Time Variance Authority. He was revealed as a Kang the Conqueror Variant dubbed "He Who Remains," but his demise means that the Multiverse is once again free, and the Kangs who want to rule over everything are on their way!

Things are about to get seriously crazy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but where does that leave Loki and Sylvie? In an interview with Marvel.com, actress Sophia Di Martino explained that getting revenge was ultimately more important in that moment than the feelings Sylvie has for Loki.

"She still has to see her plan through to the end," the actress explains. "The kiss, for me, was like a final sort of thank you and goodbye. It's been fun, dude, but at the end of the day, I'm not you and I've got a mission, and I'm going to see this through, on my own, to the end. So see ya."

However, Di Martino acknowledged that dealing the killing blow doesn't have quite the impact Sylvie believed. "When she kills him, she's just completely unfulfilled. It didn't do what she wanted to do. She doesn't feel that relief. That final moment is just utter devastation. She thought she was going to get the relief that she's been waiting for her whole life. She's built this up so much."

"She finally kills the guy right at the top, and feels nothing. Still feels sort of angry and bitter and sad, as she always has. But nothing, just emptiness and that's really sad."

The last time we see Sylvie, she's in the Citadel at the End of Time on her own after inadvertently sending Loki to another universe. So, what comes next for the character? "What she does with [that sadness] is yet to be seen. It’s an interesting place to start another chapter," Di Martino teases.

Clearly, her story is not over, but we'll likely be waiting until season two of Loki for it to continue!
