Empire Magazine has shared a first look at next month's covers, and they spotlight one of the most highly anticipated Disney+ Marvel series yet, Moon Knight. The newsstand cover gives us a new look at Oscar Isaac suited-up as the titular vigilante, and we also have a stunning subscriber cover from acclaimed comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz.

The recent trailer revealed that Isaac will actually be playing the aspect of Marc Spector's personality known as Steven Grant (slightly dodgy London accent and all), who will slowly come to learn that he is actually a lethal mercenary who has been granted abilities by the Egyptian Moon God Khonshu.

You can check out the covers in the thread below, but be sure to keep an eye out for updates as Empire will also be debuting new stills, interviews, and more over the next couple of weeks.

We still don't know a whole lot about Moon Knight, but there have been rumors that Mark Ruffalo could appear as The Hulk, and that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Emily VanCamp might show up as Sharon Carter.

The show has Cairo 678 director Mohamed Diab behind the camera, and we found out last year that the Disney+ series has also enlisted Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (The Endless, Synchronic) to helm additional episodes. Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy; The Exorcist) will serve as showrunner, and is leading the show's writing team.

Plot details are still under wraps, but the small-screen adaptation is expected to stick pretty close to the basic premise of the comic, with Marc Spector, a highly skilled mercenary who has numerous alter-egos, channelling the power of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu to fight crime in LA.

A recent synopsis stated that "the action-adventure features a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography."
