Between the next few episodes of Moon Knight and the upcoming releases of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel, and Thor: Love and Thunder, it's going to be a busy summer for MCU fans. Now, with just 50 days to go until the first episode of Ms. Marvel hits Disney+, a new poster has been released showcasing Kamala Khan, her Pakistani heritage, and the show's cast.
The series, which has already made some pretty major changes to Ms. Marvel's superpowers, isn't expected to feature any big-name comic book villains. As a result, if you haven't read the hero's comic book adventures, you may not be overly familiar with who all of these supporting characters are!
We'll no doubt get to know them in the show itself, of course, but it's Kamala who is the focus here in that very cool, comic-accurate costume. Despite being a typical poster in the sense that lots of separate promo shots of actors have been thrown together, the overall design is a little more unique than we're used to. Hopefully, Ms. Marvel will similarly exceed expectations this June.
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
