MS. MARVEL: Spoiler Stills From Last Week's Episode Reveal A Closer Look At The Show's Sinister Villains

Ahead of tomorrow's fourth episode of Ms. Marvel, Marvel Studios has released some new stills from the third instalment that offer a much better look at the Noor Dimension's ClanDestines. Check them out!

Ms. Marvel's third episode definitely wasn't quite as strong as those first two instalments, but it finally moved the story forward and revealed the show's lead villains.

While Kamala Khan still needs to watch out for the Department of Damage Control, the mysterious ClanDestines are gunning for that bangle on the teenager's wrist so they can return to their home, the Noor Dimension. However, opening a doorway to that realm could have disastrous consequences for Earth, hence why Ms. Marvel now has to stop them.

In this gallery of stills, we see more of Kamala's battle with the villains as she's forced to go on the run at her brother's wedding. If we're being honest, this group does currently look a little generic (we're getting some Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. vibes), but there's a good chance that could change as this series progresses.

The ClanDestine do exist in the comic books, and similar to the MCU, they were a group of superpowered individuals who descended from the Djinn. This show's take on the group is a little different as they are Djinn, while Marvel Studios continues to throw alternate dimensions into the mix as they did in Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings

As Kamala is descended from a Djinn, the bangle activates the "Noor" power inside of her. We've yet to discover how this ties into The Marvels or whether it could lead to the Inhumans appearing. However, as the wrist the ClanDestine removed that bangle from was blue, we can't help but think there's a link to the Kree and Marvel Studios is reinventing the Inhuman mythos.

This show is much better than I expected. Having said that, the villains are boring.

Hate to say it after such a well constructed episode 1, but at this point the only reason I'm tuning in to this show if for Kamalas family dynamic. As for her super heroing and the villains... thats pretty awful.

Unless Mama and Papa Khan are planning on tagging along for The Marvels movie, they better find a way to make the super hero portion of this show fun or else I may pass on Ms Marvels movie outings and just stick to the show when they feature the family. I may even eventually bail on this show all together, which I don't want.

@UGLYsonic - same here. All the slice of life elements of the show are nice, anchored on Iman Vellani's quite charming performance. But all the "big plot" elements (villains, superheroing) are so bad and all over the place that the good parts don't manage to make up for them.

Marvel needs better screenwriters (or giving their screenwriters more time) PRONTO, because most of their latest shows or movies have either been been good but with terrible endings... To mediocre or downright bad as a whole.

I am surprisingly enjoying this show more than I expected. Believe it or not it’s one of my favorite Marvel Disney + shows.
The characters are written well. It’s structured well.
It’s easy to follow. They are taking their time.
So far it’s a good origin story.

The only big issue I had was the last episode where they introduce the other family and they flop to villains so quickly. That should have happened in a later episode with some little hints that they may not be as good as they seem, then have the big reveal.

Otherwise, I actually am enjoying this show better than Dr. Strange 2.
That shows how bad DS2 is.

After that last episode, I've joined the "the power change is stupid" crowd. Not even so much the energy fields, but the whole backstory to how she got her powers is different too.

Like what was wrong with the Terrigen mists? She's just a magical Green Lantern now

@KWilly - It’s not a bad show overall but yet another magic bracelet.

@KWilly - They just had Inhuman's introduced in Dr.Strange, this is Marvel playing the long game. We'll get the mists and her comic powers. Najma is an unreliable witness regarding Kamala's ancestry and what the bracelets really for. The blue severed arm to me says Kree, making me think Kamala's DNA is part Kree to be able to use the full power of the bangle's - it's all just a theory, but they dropping clues by telling us one thing whilst hinting in another direction.

i hope they reveal some really [frick]ing cool deep marvel cosmic lore that her bracelets are tied to. i want something kree to come up. maybe some quasar shit. that being said. i am having fun so far with the show. but i know if it really wants to have a lasting awesome legacy a reveal of that magnitude needs to happen.

I’ve been enjoying the show for the charismatic lead and family dynamics, but the superhero stuff is just…fine.
