Johns says shooting for the Green Lantern film wraps in two weeks. He's co-producer on the film an says a lot of your favorite Lanterns will appear. It's very faithful to the comic book so fans will be unbelievably happy. He adds that Ryan Reynolds is a very serious actor and thinks we'll be happy with him in the role.

And in the "Spotlight on Brian Michael Bendis" panel that took place earlier this afternoon, the Marvel writer best known for his work on The Avengers and Ultimate Spider-Man comic books, talked a little more about the chances of a Powers TV show based in his creator owned series.

An update of Powers TV pilot - though it is not greenlit the president of FX said nothing more important than developing the show. There has to be an ending to the sequel that's different than the 1st which Bendis hopes will be the Powers pilot being greenlit!

Holy crap, that pic looks like Bendis shed some weight. He looks trim. Powers is pretty good, hope it transfers to tv well.

I've never read Powers but after reading the first amazing issue of Scarlet, I'm tempted to check out some more of Bendis' non-Marvel work! :) I'd still like to see it adapted into a TV show though...now that Smallville is coming to an end, it would be great to see some more superhero related stuff on the small screen! (along with the excellent looking No Ordinary Family and The Cape!)

Thanks for the tips guys! :) I'm currently in the process of catching up with Batman (I've just finished reading "Batman and Son" in fact and have another 3 or 4 graphic novels to work through along with 13 issues of Batman and Robin) so it'll be a while before I have the time/money to catch up on Powers unfortunately!
