Marvel's Secret Invasion has found its directors.

THR reports that Thomas Bezucha (Let Him Go) and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) have been tapped to helm the upcoming Disney+ series, which will (loosely) adapt the Marvel Comics event series of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis.

This news comes on the heels of several major casting announcements, with Olivia Coleman (The Favorite, Tyrannosaur). Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Killian Scott (The Dublin Murders, Love/Hate) all signing on for undisclosed supporting roles.

Plot details are also under wraps, but we do know that Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will reprise their Captain Marvel roles as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively. It's also been confirmed that the show will focus on "an infiltration of Skrulls on Earth" (no big surprises there).

One Night In Miami star Kingsley Ben-Adir will play the lead villain. We don't know who that'll be, but Dorrek VII, Emperor of the Skrull Empire, is a strong possibility.

Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) is writing and executive producing Secret Invasion, and production is expected to get underway in Europe later this year. It is unclear what the breakdown of episodes will be, but sources believe it could be three-three or four-two.

Still gotta see Let Him Go. I loved the trailer and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

As much as I enjoyed SLJ and Mendelsohn in Captain Marvel, they (and the rest of the cast) are not enough to get me interested in this really. Just not a fan right now of the contained approach.

Don't know the crew though, so can't speak for that

@Reeds2Much -
And do you know why?

Because of the galactic standard units of measurement?

Look at the big brain on Brad. You a smart mother[frick]er. That's right, the galactic standard units of measurement.

@heyy1 - that's the film I'm most excited for(or was before spiderman was included) but I don't know how much it will change the mcu. I think it will be a wild ride with little to no lasting consequences on the mcu

I’m curious how they’re going to introduce evil Skrulls in this world where we have only seen good-natured ones so far. Should be very interesting

Sharon Carter is definitely a Skrull. Anyone placing bets on who else might be a Skrull? I'm going with Maria Hill.
