Why Filoni should lead Lucasfilm; Exhibit A.

@Nebula - I am in agreement with this. He understands the franchise, and isn't afraid to take necessary risks. And this is coming from a guy that enjoyed Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker.

I'm glad Filoni takes this so serious, unlike other people at Lucasfilm. They really should just make Filoni head of the Story Group

@MalseMarcel - The story group is a bit of a joke. Not sure if any of the members aside from Pablo have actually written any Star Wars story whatsoever.

The last episode was SO DAMN GOOD.

"Execute Order 66"

We all knew this shit was coming and yet...i still felt it.

Can't wait for the final episode!

Filoni is a man after my own heart. It killed me to see the hate Lucas received after the prequel films. He's the grand daddy of these stories and people turned on him. Who cares who shot first

I love that filoni respects the progenitor of this series and its through him and Lucas that these shows have remained faithful to star wars

@Vigor - It's good to still respect George and his ideas, but the problems with the Prequels are 100% his fault. He's a great "Ideas Man" but the actual hands-on writing and directing is not his strong suit. He does good work when he collaborated with others who complement his weaknesses. He tried to do the Prequels all his own way and it failed.

Also, "Who Shot First?" is actually hugely relevant and the controversy only exists because of an impulse to scrub Han of morally grey actions and make him more kid-friendly.

@SerKurtWagner - This is how I feel about George. The guy had great ideas, but he was never the best director. The first Star Wars was literally saved by the editors and John Williams. He forgot what made these movies classics and felt they were never perfect so he kept making unnecessary changes to them. Not even updating stuff, just throwing in crap for no reason. And the Prequels are such disasters. He was surrounded by yes men and that hurt it.

"Who Shot First?" Still matters, I agree. It weakens Han as a character and his arc is less compelling. Also, "Maclunkey"

@Dredd97 - A New Hope is not only a classic for being the first SW, but by being a perfect movie, from the shots to the score, everything is iconic and so well constructed. Which is crazy given the nightmare it was to film. He is a visionary who inspired so many filmmakers. And funded HIS OWN films, that's the dream.

Something I don't understand about this last episode. I remember that the siege of Mandalore has been scripted since 2013. So I assumed the episode's plot wouldn't really change that much in the last 7 years. But Rex tried to gun Ahsoka down during order 66. Which contradicts the Rebels episode where he claims he "didn't turn on his jedi" because he took the chip out.

So either the last episode of Clone Wars changed significantly, or the person who wrote that Rebels episode hadn't read the Mandalore scripts.

Sso far 7/12 episodes have been great. This is how you do Star Wars. Get Filoni to run the franchise, and Fire Kennedy
