According to filmmusicreporter.com, Legendary Pictures and director Duncan Jones have hired Ramin Djawadi to compose the Warcraft score. Ramin Djawadi is best known for scoring: Pacific Rim (2013), Clash of the Titans (2010), and Dracula Untold (2014).

Duncan Jones' Warcraft wrapped filming in August and currently ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) is hard at work adding digital effects. It'll be a long grueling  post-production but if the film is nearly as good as Jones' Moon (2009) we are all in for a real treat. A brief amount of footage was shown this year at San Diego's Comic-Con and for the most part it was compared to Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings in scope and the CG characters were said to be of high-quality like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Sadly, the film won't arrive in theaters until 2016. Geesh!

Legendary Pictures’ WARCRAFT, a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe, is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and is written by Charles Leavitt and rewritten by Duncan Jones. The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner. Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share and Brent O’Connor serve as executive producers. Blizzard’s Chris Metzen co-produces.

@Mexican - Some. The thing is, I hate going to the theater. It's a [frick]ing pain. There are only about 2-3 movies a year I feel compelled to see in the theater, then there are 1-2 that I go to just because. Then by the time they come to cable or redbox or whatever I'm uninterested or the GF doesn't want to see it or I wasn't interested to begin with.

I'll see everything Wes Anderson, the Coen Brothers and Martin McDonagh do. I'll see the first movie in the MCU individual movies. I've got a buddy in love with all of the X-Men movies so I will go with him because he pays. I think Nightcrawler looks good.

@grifdeadpool - He isn't pluralizing. He is showing possession. As long as they remain consistent in their style then it isn't a concern. While some will tell you that you apostrophe S to show possession to all names ending in S excepting those names in which the S is silent, the Associated Press recommends just the apostrophe. It is more a style issue and clearly this site has chosen to do it this way, if for nothing else than to upset you.

Ramin is great guys. He did all seasons of Game of Thrones and there isn't a single track i don't like from all of them. I believe he did Iron Man too

For those wanting updates. I imagine this year at Blizzcon we will get some form of teaser or even a decent trailer. Both this year and last SDCC panels got to see actual footage from Warcraft. All the while last year at Blizzcon they only got a 45 minute long panel with Duncan Jones and a few pieces of concept art. It baffled me that they would give SDCC a mood piece and give loyal Blizzard fans at Blizzcon not much more. So this year I have a feeling they will make up for it. Come next month there should be a lot more information out and hopefully some of the cast will be there and we might learn who they are playing. For fun I am going to list who I think some of the actors will be playing.

Travis Fimmel - I am hoping a yount Tirion Fordring. The reason is because the other notable characters he can play die or disappear. (That is of course if they follow the lore strictly)

Paula Patton - Garona Halforcen - It's the only character that makes sense. She would fit a Night Elf really well, but they aren't introduced at this point. Could be a High Elf I guess but Garona just makes more sense.

Clancy Brown - King Terenas OR Anduin Lothar. While some may believe Travis to be better for Anduin Lothar, I don't. Lothar is described as an older strongly build man who is losing his hair, Clancy Brown just fits that better. He may even be too young to play King Terenas.

I'll leave it at that though. In any case Blizzcon early next month (November) should reveal details for those waiting.
