Very entertaining video commentaries. I don't agree with a lot of what was said but I can tell it was very well thought out.

My thoughts on Wonder Woman is that what is needed is a total revamp of the character. Unfortunately people who love Wonder Woman are committed to keeping her in her own world of myths and gods. That would be fine if the rest of DC universe was oriented to that, but it is not. As it stands the dominant themes of that universe are science fiction and cosmic issues. As a result Wonder Woman seems alienated from the other stories in the DC universe. Plus science fiction plots and villains are difficult to negotiate with gods and magic. In my opinion they need to follow the same formula that have made other heroes successful. Here are the three ways in which Wonder Woman needs to be fundamentally changed:

1) Both Batman and Superman had parents who were characterized as either heroic (Jor-El and Lara) defying their society for the sake of their son or successful and industrious (Waynes)- people who were committed to the betterment of their community. When the parents left them (both to tragic events) both heroes were essentially raised by loving surrogates who gave them the support they needed (Alfred in one case and the Kents). Wonder Woman for some bizarre reason has no such inspirational origin stories. It is mired in in a cold and uninteresting story that no human could even remotely relate to. She was either "made from clay" or is the bastard daughter of Zeus. Stories of Wonder Woman's mother are often tinged with accounts of rape or bondage. As you can imagine one would not expect or even understand a character like Wonder Woman having any inspiration to make the world better whatsoever. An inspirational origin story needs to in some fashion follow the example of Superman and Batman so a person can relate to how she comes to choose good over evil.

2) Her rogues gallery is terrible. Constantly having her in conflicts with "gods" is absurd! Greek mythology in my opinion has never been a major sell with the public. Looking at the films made that deal with Greek myth, not one has ever pulled in a Domestic gross of over $200 million dollars. Technically the movie 300 has but that movie barely even mentions the Greece-roman gods. Whereas Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans, or Percy Jackson and the Olympians have only ever receive a lukewarm reception. People point to Thor as an example of a popular story that incorporates mythology and gods. But actually Thor made less money than Superman Returns domestically. So a live action Wonder Woman film would likely NOT be seen as a success if it performed as well as Thor. By recasting Wonder Woman in a science fiction setting, it would better position her to develop stories that people would be willing to read and watch.

3) Finally, how she is presented needs to be drastically updated. As the recent Superman reboot shows, people will embrace a modern updating of her outfit and even her abilities. The stars on her a$$ and tiara need to go away. Her "lasso' of truth and invisible jet need to be re-imagined to a less "hokey" versions of her super hero tools. Perhaps using a bolas instead of a lasso; having an innate ability to determine the truth instead of having it be tied to a "magic" weapon; and making her airplane a high tech jet with cloaking ability would go a long way to making Wonder woman a modern and relatable hero.

Why'd you take down the script for this and Martian Manhunter?

@dekexz - I didn´t take down the Manhunter script, they put it in fanfic.
My Wonder Woman stoy will turn up again, don´t worry. I´m just working out some kinks.

@Forthas - I see what you´re saying, about her villains being of Greek Mythology and her world of myths and gods not fitting in with scifi. But I personally disagree that her origin isn´t interesting and relatable. I just think it hasn´t been modernized. When I see the Lynda Carter origin episode of Wonder Woman (which was by far the best episode) I enjoyed it, even now and even though it feels so antiquated, there´s still some very profound and deep struggles going on in her life.

For my script I changed the clay birth, but I didn´t change the symbolism of it. Immaculate conception, has been rooted in mythology along time and you only have to ask half the world who believe in christianity if it doesn´t have some resonant appeal. Just like Supermans takes elements from Moses. I also liked the recent animated film, although I thought it was too heavy on the gender stuff (or the way they dealt with it was not as mature as I would like, I think the 70s show did a better job and was more subtle) and I thought she should be more powerful.

I guess what appeals to me about WW story is her heart, her love, her search for mutual understanding in a world of conflict and her wisdom. I think thats a true inspiring hero; but in our cynical times your right heroes have to be some how conflicted or marred in tragedy. Anyway, my Wonder Woman is pretty awesome and I stick to her origin. Ares is the badguy and I update another one of her rogues gallery, and goddamn they are badass. Actually another reason I love WW mythos is Ares, when ever I read them together in the preAzzerrelo runs I think its like magic. He could really be reworked and be a real badass. Every scene I write with him I end up cackling to myself, cause there´s no wickedness he´s unwilling to perpetrate. He makes Loki look like a little boy scout, he´s a real beast. I love him. and then there´s wonder woman whose great, cause there she is standing against guys with guns, speaking in some strange poshe accent, just some pretty little lady and there like keeling over thinking its the funniest shit in the world, until she unleashes scorn like only a woman can. Its two really fun and comical characters to write. My other main villian is pretty sick too.
