Wonder Woman exceeded expectations in every respect earlier this year but not everyone is a fan of the DC Comics adaptation. One of its most outspoken critics has been Avatar director James Cameron and now Patty Jenkins has once again responded to his misogynistic remarks about Gal Gadot's Diana Prince. "I actually was not upset at all," she tells Variety. "Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But if you’re going to debate something in a public way, I have to reply that I think it’s incorrect."

As for whether or not she got an apology from Cameron, she says; "No." Regardless of his thoughts, Jenkins is making history with her
pay day for Wonder Woman 2 as she's set to receive somewhere between $7 million to $9 million, a record salary for a female director. "You’re of course aware of the money," she says before adding: "But I’ve never been more aware of a duty than I was in this deal. I was extremely aware that I had to make sure I was being paid what the male equivalent would be."

Gadot also weighs on on Jenkins' pay rise and clearly views the deal as a way of breaking down barriers for women. "She is definitely paving the way for so many other female directors. I think it was very important that she fought to get the best deal. You got to walk the walk and talk the talk."

As for the Wonder Woman sequel, Jenkins said she envisioned it while making the first movie and is still working on the treatment with Geoff Johns. "I think she has a really clear and fun and compelling place that she’s taking the story," says Warner Bros. Pictures Group chief Toby Emmerich. What that will
be remains to be seen but it will be exciting to find out? What do you guys think? Sound off below.

@CrazyCipher - Gal Gadot deserves a pay raise even more than Jenkins did. WB paid Gadot only each $300,000 for Wonder Woman and BvS. That's a disgrace.

Really hope we dont get another period piece, and that they go full Greek mythology with the sequel. We should get the balls out fantasy movie we should have gotten with the Thor franchise (which i have like a lot but should have been more fantasy than it has been)

@Ha1frican - I still mantain hades could be alive. I mean he technically isnt a god of olympus since he presides the underworld.

@CrazyCipher - Exactly my thought. Im hoping the sequel deals with here going to the underworld and dealing with Hades. If the gods really are dead he could conceivably have them under his control and be trying to escape

She had to fight for that salary. I think DC is in so much trouble that they have no leverage over directors and now the directors are calling the shots. It would have been a public relations nightmare to not give her what she wants.
