Well, it appears it won't be McG anyway(sighs of relief?) Deadline report that Friday Night Lights director Jeffrey Reiner is close to signing on to direct the pilot for the new live action Wonder Woman tv show for NBC..

Jeffrey Reiner is finalizing a deal to direct the NBC drama pilot Wonder Woman, David E. Kelley's reimagening of the iconic D.C. comic. In the reboot, from Warner Bros. TV, Wonder Woman -- aka Diana Prince -- is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life. The project was a late spec buy by NBC made by new chief Bob Greenblatt late last month.

Reiner is no stranger to delivering successful tv, having previously worked on Trauma, Caprica and The Event. McG(Terminator Salvation) was in negotiations for the project but apparently had to pass due to scheduling conflicts. David E. Kelley's new take on Wonder Woman was rumored to have been a lost cause recently, with several networks passing on the project. But it certainly seems as if things are back on track now. Keep an eye on CBM for casting news(and rumors:) as we get em.
