Marvel's Kevin Feige On The Possibility Of WANDAVISION Serving As "A Ramp" To Introduce The X-MEN

There's been a lot of speculation that WandaVision might open the door for the introduction of mutants to the MCU, and Marvel Chief Kevin Feige certainly doesn't seen to be ruling out the possibility...

Fans have been wondering how Marvel Studios would go about integrating the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox back in 2019, and many believe that the introduction of mutants could come about via the exploration of the Multiverse.

We already know that Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange sequel will delve into various alternate realities, and since Scarlet Witch is on board for that adventure, there's speculation that WandaVision may set the stage for the children of the atom to join the MCU.

During an interview with Deadline, Kevin Feige was asked about Marvel's first Disney+ series potentially serving as a "ramp" to revive the X-Men. As expected, he wouldn't confirm of deny anything, but did seem to suggest that it was a possibility.

Deadline: "We know with Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, her character connects into Captain Marvel 2, and that the series connects to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Is WandaVision a ramp to the revival of X-Men you’re planning?"

Feige: "In hindsight, in five years if when we’re talking about everything that’s happened, everything can be a ramp to everything, specifically though, yes, Monica in Captain Marvel 2 and specifically to Wanda teaming up with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. "

It's a typically vague response, but WandaVision does seem to be laying the groundwork for a very different MCU moving forward. We're not likely to see the X-Men debut on the show, of course, but we wouldn't be surprised if a hint or two was dropped before the end of the first season!

How do you guys see Marvel's merry band of mutants making their way to the MCU?

I have yet to say a word on the MCU's F4 announcement, its director and all.

And i don't feel like saying anything and i think that already says a lot in itself.
Not to mention most of you guys already said what i had to say.

In the same vein, we all know FULL WELL that Kev's and Marvel Studios' silence speaks volumes about the X-Men.

Nah, i'm gonna rest easy. :)
I just know that Kev is carefully planning every single thing and that he aims to do things in a BIG WAY.

It won't be some weak ass, flavor of the week, director handling that hot stuff and anyone believing otherwise is living in a f*cking dream world, yo! :P

I didn’t expect anything too revealing with his answer, as is usual. We’ll find out soon enough.

I have this feeling when they introduce The X-Men to the MCU they will be based on the current run,so it won't be like what has come before movie wise.

@marvel72 - I hope so actually. Would be a great status quo, and they could flash back to the original mission to Krakoa as part of the setup. But then hit the ground running in the new status quo, which is very aesthetically different than the school setup from the FOX films.

@Jackraow21 - House Of X and Power Of X is brilliant. I do think this current X-Men run by Hickman is a case of hit and miss, some of it is just so dragged out. Its no way as great as his run on Fantastic Four and The Avengers.

However I do like that all the mutants are all together and they only really care about themselves.
