Ottman is really talented guy.
Even if X2 score didn't holds up that good after all those year (Zimmer took comic book movies score to the next level in recent years) he is still one of the most talented guys working in this business today.

His Orphan theme still give me chills

(too depressing. gotta mute it)

Good to hear he is back. Hope he is still evolving.

And the best track in comic book movie ?

Nothing can beat this one :

Who is excited to have a guy back who gave us two barely alright X films and ruined Superman?

I could be wrong but IDK if this is the right direction for X-men. Hopefully if it fails Fox will just give up and give the rights back to Marvel.

First off Superman Returns didn't ruin Superman anymore than the Christopher Reeves films did. People who act like Superman Returns was just horrible are overexaggerating.

Barely alright X-Men films? Sure some parts weren't like the comics but they were excellent movies.

@superotherside- AMEN BROTHER! Unfortunately the sheep here won't listen to you.

I despise Bryan Singer. His X-Men films were barely tolerable and his Superman film nearly RE-DESTROYED THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE AND LEFT SUPERMAN IN STASIS FOR 6 YEARS.

@JatevinM- Yeah overexaggerating. Superman Returns flaws- 2 1/2 HOURS OF ZERO ACTION, Emo-Superman, Superman STALKING Lois Lane, another campy real-estate scam by Luthor, super-kid...come on really?

Also going back and blaming the Donner films is stupid. Point in case- SINGER SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE BACK TO THE DONNER UNIVERSE. He was being selfish by doing that. He should have put the needs and desires of the franchise over HIS OWN needs and desires. What the Superman franchise really needed was a 100% FRESH reboot. NOT a remake/homage film which Superman Returns 100% was.

Singer blows. End of story.

The X2 theme was downright MEMORABLE, wish it was an ongoing theme in the series.

This, Godzilla and TASM2 are my most anticipated movies of 2014. The movies of 2013-15 are gonna be awesome!

First off Rob- I AM NOT A [frick]ING NOLANITE. U [frick]ing douchebag!

Second- Singer DID NOT revive Superman. He re-destroyed Superman. Ask anyone you [frick]ing retard. And going back to Superman IV does NOT excuse Singer's horrid film

I have read that often repeated comment, of hoping the rights will return to Marvel and I continue to wonder what the hell is that person even thinking when they post that comment.

X-Men or F4 WILL NEVER RETURN TO Marvel or it will be at least DECADES before it happens. Fox are one of these studios that can keep a franchise going for decades. Think of it, they are still profiting from the Planet Of The Apes and Alien franchises after 45 years of Apes and 34 years of Alien. Fox will never give up its franchises and the sooner that ALL OF YOU realise that, the better

Just do what I do, hope for the best, take pleasure in the things Fox get right and get on with your lives with the hope that someday when Marvel are completely finished with all of their franchises and Fox have finally lost their properties, Marvel will go on to do amazing Fantastic Four and X-Men franchise, decades from now that will put Fox's versions to shame.

and those of you complaining about Singer, he and his movies sure have their obvious flaws, but as Rob2814 said, if it wasnt for Singer doing a more serious and interesting take on comic book movies in the early 00s, there would be NO comic book genre now or it would be constantly producing terrible movies. I love X1, X2 and First Class

Anyway, reserve all your hatred for true shitty comic book movie directors, Tim Story, Mark Steven Johnson, Pitof, Rob Bowman and Joel Schumacher. I actually have gotten to the point I pretend their movies dont exist!

Yes, Singer's X-Men flick is the reason there's a comic book genre now. Oh, wait... What about all those other comic book based movies that came out before X-Men? Batman, Superman, and even Blade all helped shape the genre. In fact, without Blade being a successful R-rated film venture for Marvel and the other parties involved then I'm positive we wouldn't have gotten an X-Men flick in 2000. We definitely would have gotten one somewhere down the road, we just would have had to wait a little longer for it.

Well yeah obviously, Superman and Batman created the comic book movie genre and DC ruled it until the late 90s and killed it themselves.

And as you said, Blade restarted it again but X-Men was what made it popular all over again because as many people have said in the past, the cinema audience did not know Blade was a CBM. I apologise if I wasnt being clear before

For all those defending Superman Returns:

Remember how in the comics, Superman was able to lift an entire continent made of Kryptonite while having a Kryptonite shard lodged in his chest?

Yeah, I don't remember that either.
