We got a minor update on Indiana Jones 5 a little earlier today, but it was still hard to believe the movie is actually happening. After all, it's been hit by a series of delays since first being announced!
During Lucasfilm's portion of Disney's Investor Day, Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that Logan director James Mangold will indeed be at the helm of this fifth instalment of the iconic franchise. It goes without saying that Harrison Ford is returning to play the title character, but it sounds like this is it.
During the presentation, Kennedy noted that Indiana Jones 5 will "conclude this iconic character’s journey." Mangold had us all reaching for our hankies when he wrapped up Wolverine's story, so who knows what he has in store for Indy during his final adventure on the big screen.
The movie is keeping its current July 2022 release date, so expect more official updates to follow!
