In a recent interview with
MTV, Shia LaBeouf - who played Mutt Williams, son of Indiana Jones, in 2008's
Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull - talks again about work on the project, saying that Harrison Ford is still preparing in the gym, while George Lucas still has yet to choose a particular story line.
"I talked to [Harrison Ford]," LaBeouf told MTV News when we got together with him at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards this past weekend. "He said he's staying in the gym, he said he's heard no word, but he does know that [George Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin. He said he's staying in the gym, so it means [the movie is] not so far off."
But even if a fifth Indiana Jones isn't "so far off," it sounds as though series mastermind George Lucas has yet to nail down a specific story line. Shia isn't losing patience quite yet, however: "I mean, he's got to let it sit. He's going through his ruminations, which is extensive."
Indiana Jones 5 currently has no release date.
