Matthew Fox as Racer X

Matthew Fox could be Racer X in the Speed Racer Movie, according to The Hollywood Reproter.

Racer X is Speed's racing rival and if Fox gets the part he'll be filming while LOST is on summer hiatus.

In other casting news it's being reported that Australian actor Kick Gurry, is up for the role of Sparky, Speed Racer's mechanic.

With The Wachowskis writing and directing, the studio is working towards a summer 2008 release.
