People Magazine has awarded Paul Rudd the title of sexiest man alive 2021, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor has no intention of displaying any false modesty about it.
"I mean I'm going to lean into it hard. I'm going to own this. I'm not going to try to be like 'Oh, I'm so modest.' I'm getting business cards made. But all of my friends will destroy me and I expect them to," joked the Avengers: Endgame star. "I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I'd be picked for this, they would say, 'What?', he added. "This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me."
Chris Evans (Captain America) was the strongly rumored frontrunner, which should give Rudd plenty of ammunition to use against his MCU costar.
Rudd had been a staple of many big-budget, highly-successful comedies before lading the role of Scott Lang in Ant-Man, and has since gone on to become one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood. After delivering scene-stealing turns in the likes of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, he's set to reprise the role of the diminutive superhero for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Rudd can be seen next in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which is set to hit theaters later this month. Check out People's cover below.
