As always, the new year brings with it another crop of highly anticipated superhero movie releases, and that means we'll be introduced to some fresh faces that may (or may not) be destined for great things.

We've selected seven up-and-coming actors that'll be appearing in 2018's biggest comic book flicks, including The New Mutants, Deadpool 2, Black Panther and Aquaman. You won't find anyone from Avengers: Infinity War on the list, however, because as massive as the cast is, no newbies (that we know of) will feature prominently.

Some of these guys have already made a splash with other roles but have yet to really hit the big time, others are still flying way under the radar, but all have the opportunity to make a huge impact this year.

To view all of the actors at once, simply click on the VIEW LIST (ONE PAGE) button below.

Black Panther: Letitia Wright

Guyanese-born British actress Letitia Wright started out on telivision before garnering attention for her role in Michael Caton-Jones' Urban Hymn in 2015. Since then she's returned to TV to appear in the likes of Doctor Who and Black Mirror, but 2018 is shaping up to be a massive year for Wright's big-screen career.

Following her MCU debut as T'Challa's techie sister Shuri in Black Panther next month, Wright will appear as Reb in Stephen Spielberg's Ready Player One, before reprising the role of Shuri in Avengers: Infinity War.

Black Panther: Winston Duke

Another up-and-coming Black Panther actor that's destined for big things is Winston Duke, who will play T'Challa's frenemy M'Baku (Man-Ape in the comics) in the Marvel Studios film.

The Trinidad & Tobago-born actor began his career in theater, where he became friends with his future Black Panther co-star Lupita Nyong'o. Duke then went on to appear in several TV shows such as Person of Interest, Major Crimes and Modern Family.

Like Wright, Duke will also return for Avengers: Infinity War later this year.

The New Mutants: Blu Hunt

Most of the young cast of The New Mutants could technically be described as "up-and-comers", but 22-year-old Native American actress Blu Hunt is definitely the least recognizable of the bunch.

Hunt had small parts in This is It and Girl on Girl before being cast as The Hollow in The Originals, and then last year she landed the role of Danielle Moonstar/Mirage in Josh Boone's X-Men spin-off.

If the film follows the comics, Mirage should emerge as one of the standout characters, which means Hunt has a huge opportunity to make a splash here.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix: Kota Eberhardt

.
Model-turned-actress Kota Eberhardt is by far the least experienced of the bunch, with her only other acting credit listed as 2016’s The Persian Connection. We found out back in August of last year that she'd joined the cast of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but we still don't know much about her role.

Eberhardt's character is known as Luna (that's believed to be a codename), and she's described as "beautiful, intense, and slightly unhinged."

There was speculation early on that she might be playing a member of The Hellfire Club, but it now seems far more likely that she'll be associated with Jessica Chastain's alien villain.

Aquaman: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

New Orleans native Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has already made an impact on TV thanks to his role as Cadillac on The Get Down, but despite big-screen appearances in Baywatch and The Greatest Showman, he has yet to hit the big time in Hollywood.

That could all change when Aquaman swims into theaters this December.

Abdul-Mateen will play a fan-favorite villain from the comics known as Black Manta, and while specific details on his role remain under wraps for now, many have already pegged him as the potential breakout star of the movie.

Deadpool 2: Julian Dennison

15-year-old Kiwi actor Julian Dennison first came to Taika Waititi's attention in 2015's Paper Planes, and the Thor: Ragnarok director then cast him as Ricky in the excellent Hunt for The Wilderpeople.

That role put Denninson on the map, but he has the chance to make a huge impact on the Hollywood blockbuster world with the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

We're still not exactly sure who Julian is playing in Deadpool 2, but the recent teaser trailer did seem to confirm that he'll be a pyrokinetic mutant character of some description.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Hannah John-Kamen

Like many of the actors on this list, 28-year-old British thesp Hannah John-Kamen started out on television with roles in the likes of Misfits, Black Mirror and The Hour. She also landed a starring role in SyFy's Killjoys and a guest appearnce on HBO's Game of Thrones.

John-Kamen has a huge year ahead of her, with roles in Tomb Raider, Ready Player One, and Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Though her character in the Marvel sequel hasn't been officially confirmed yet, a batch of leaked set snaps seem to suggest that she'll be playing an incarnation of the villainous Ghost.

Out of these seven, who do you think will make the biggest impact? Did we leave anyone out? Sound off below.

There are lot of probable breakout actors/actresses in Black Panther without a doubt, but I can not wait to see Julian Dennison with Reynolds in Deadpool. Holy shit that is going to be incredible.

Hannah John Kamen is stunning and is also in Ready Player one.

Yahya Abdul Mateen is someone I'm looking forward to seeing more of, the guy sure can dance as well.

I like this list. Definitely some interesting new faces entering the CBM world. Most excited about the Black Panther crew, but with the exception of Eberhardt (simply know nothing about her or the role) I'm looking forward to all their performances. Dennison on Deadpool could be a major hit!

@tugboy - Love all of her looks in KillJoys. That show is pure guilty pleasure. Not that I'm a stalker of hers or anything, I seem to remember her having a split second appearance in 'The Force Awakens.

I read that headline as "Seven Up" and coming actors. Not Seven Up-And-Coming actors as it should have been written.

for a second there it looked like the article was about the soda 7 Up.

who are these people?

Man, none of these b character actors ever make it big, look at taylor kitsch started out as a b character in origins, didnt go anywhere but down and they push him hard, if they arent leading material their star will fade, and thats just life, look whos still only being cast as leads, sure their are some leads on here, but thats where the movies go, thats where fame leads, not just because they seem to be talented ior "up and comers"

If they cant break through to leading a film, they wont really go anywhere will they?

and real nice not abiding by what I like to call the new rule of equality and peace (E)//(P)

you should included someone from every race on here, its racist to single white people out.

/\ Thats what it sounds like.
