Closer Look At The Hulk's AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Suit In 'Diamond Select' Action-Figure

That's right, even the Hulk gets a costume in Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron! Admittedly, we're just talking about a non-tattered pair of purple pants, but he still looks pretty cool (as does this awesome Diamond Select action figure). Hit the jump to check it out...

Thanks to Comic Book Resources, we have a first look at the Diamond Selection action figure featuring the Avengers: Age of Ultron version of the Hulk (played in the movie by Mark Ruffalo).

The official description for the action figure reads, "A Diamond Select Toys release! Hulk smash puny toys! The Hulk returns in a new look for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and DST is revisiting their award-winning action figure from the first Avengers movie with all-new sculpted details! Standing almost 10 inches tall, this Hulk figure sports 16 points of articulation and a spot-on likeness of the Hulk from the film, and comes packaged in Select-style display packaging, with spine artwork for shelf reference. Sculpted by Gentle Giant! To check out a pretty pointless silhouette of Black Widow's not yet finalised action figure, be sure to click on the link below!

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson and hits May 1st, 2015.

Does anyone buy these toys?

I'm wondering if because Iron Man fights Hulk, if Hulk goes crazy and turns into Grey Hulk.

Possibly the reason Tony may feel they need to be over seen by the Government. Also it's a possible way to set up Planet Hulk.

This is literally just a repaint... Where's ToyBiz, man? All these toys are shit nowwa days.

I know all this figures are supposed to be "poseable" but for me it kills a figure when they have all these obvious joints and points of articulation. If you can't hide these spots well just give me a badass static figure and I'll gladly give you my money. I still remember this was badass back in my younger years.

And I thought as time goes by the toys would get better.

@superotherside I'd agree, but the leaked Lego toy descriptions said that Scarlet Witch puts a spell on Hulk, causing him to go haywire and have those aggravated eyes.

@echinsuocha

I had that Hulk figure when I was a kid. Believe it was a Happy Meal toy but still loved it as a kid.

@LEVITIKUZ - hell yeah it was, I remeber they had tons of Marvel figures back in the day I had a bunch of spidersman figures some F4 too the hulk one was bad ass you could smash him together and I think his arms moved in the classic smash movement.
echinsuocha
echinsuocha - 1/21/2015, 3:56 PM
@Malakas - Damn I hadn't seen that before. I would deff pay good money for it. I like that it's poseable but you can't see all the joints and stuff - I think it helps since it a robot and that makes the joints just look like a normal part of it.
Malakas
Malakas - 1/21/2015, 3:59 PM
@echinsuocha
Exactly!
But man i can't forgive them the fact that it's not made of iron.I know that would make it even more expensive but it would have been perfect.

A+ article, Josh. I appreciate the extra effort to phrase the sentences to avoid your trademark subject-verb disagreement. (If I keep having to read sh*t like "Marvel have announced.." or "Disney say that..", I will literally set myself on fire.)

I know it's the Hulk's whole look and all but they just made trunks for him?

No vest?

No boots?

I'd make a vest and boots if I were going to go through the trouble of making Hulk-proof trunks...

@TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM Just an idea I've had.

Plus one of the pop figures had a Grey Hulk, I believe. Not that that technically means anything.
gedafe
gedafe - 1/21/2015, 4:53 PM
Wasn't grey hulk the smarter, more sinister version of the Hulk? Some say grey hulk was the original. Anyway, they managed to keep the "purple pants" on the Hulk--very yoga-ish. If SHIELD funded the pants as a uniform, why not make more sports/armor wear like in the recent version of the comics?
