Should We Expect To See New Heroes From AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Get Their Own Movies?
Should we expect to see a Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch movie come out of Avengers: Age of Ultron? Well, that certainly sounds like a very real possibility as it has been revealed that Disney and Marvel have had meetings in regards to which characters introduced in that sequel could get a spin-off!
We know that both the Hulk and Hawkeye will have a much larger presence in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but neither of them are exactly new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A Black Widow spin-off is another possibility, but based on the excerpt below from a piece on Kevin Feige in Bloomsberg, Marvel and Disney are currently putting some serious consideration into giving a newly introduced character from the Joss Whedon helmed sequel their own movie.
Iger and Alan Horn, chairman of Walt Disney Studios, recently met with the Marvel team to talk about new heroes who will be introduced in Age of Ultron and could be spun off in their own films as well. Iger declines to name them. “The possibilities are endless,” he says.
So, who could we be looking at here? Well, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are two of the biggest additions in this movie, while an appearance from Carol Danvers (a.k.a. Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel) has also been rumoured). Doctor Strange is another possibility, as is the Black Panther. With recent talk of Disney upping Marvel Studios' output to three or four releases a year instead of two, it's going to be very interesting to see what sort of ramifications Avengers: Age of Ultron has on the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forwards. What do you guys think? Sound off below!
