There was no sign of Captain Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War but the movie's after-credits scene did tease her impending arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and set the stage for her to return to Earth when Nick Fury used a pager to contact Carol Danvers and make it clear that they need her help.
Where she's been all these years isn't clear but it seems as if she chose to remain away from her home planet following the events of Captain Marvel, a 90s set adventure which will be released next March.
As after-credits scenes go, this one works really well and fans now can't wait to see the hero join the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in order to take the right to Thanos. Leaked promo art has already shown her fighting alongside the likes of Captain America and The Hulk, so she's clearly going to have a key part to play in proceedings.
