After Avengers: Endgame, the team as we knew it is no more. Iron Man and Black Widow are dead, Steve Rogers is an old man (and also possibly dead), The Hulk is a father, Hawkeye is semi-retired, and Thor...well, he's busy attempting to recover from Love and Thunder (we kid, we kid...).
Rumour has it a new team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and you'd best believe we have some ideas about who it should consist of.
We'll admit that there are some noteworthy omissions, but that's simply because we think those characters will have supporting roles similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War. This feature is all about creating a team of New Avengers that has what it takes to face Kang the Conqueror's Variants and potentially save the Multiverse.

8. Kate Bishop
With Jeremy Renner likely to be recovering from his recent snowplough accident for the foreseeable future, we find it hard to imagine Clint Barton returning to the MCU in time for this movie.
Fortunately, he's already trained his successor and we can't think of a better platform for Kate Bishop to shine on than in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. A real test for her as a hero, the fangirl will be given the chance to show what she's capable of and bring a unique feel to this team as Kate finds herself surrounded by her idols.
Hawkeye proved that the archer is a force to be reckoned with when she has a bow in her hands, and while Kang is infinitely more powerful, don't underestimate her. After all, Clint was able to hold his own against the likes of Loki and UItron!
7. Shang-Chi
The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings sequel is rumoured to be titled Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time, and we expect it to be released prior to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (a movie we're convinced will be delayed).
It's become obvious the hero's Ten Rings are somehow tied to Kang, and there are even rumblings the sequel will see him square off with a number of the villain's Variants. We're a little concerned about Shang-Chi getting that bogged down in setting up the next Avengers movie this soon - remember Iron Man 2? - but it's still an idea we're excited to see unfold.
As for what Shang-Chi can bring to this team, he's a badass fighter and someone likely to have a good knowledge of who Kang is by the time his Dynasty begins.
6. She-Hulk
Questionable visual effects and that baffling finale aside, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law did a great job of setting the stage for Jennifer Walters to become a major force in the MCU moving forward.
Every bit as powerful as her cousin, Bruce Banner, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty would be a good opportunity for the hero to take centre stage and serve as this team's strongest member. By the time Jen's Disney+ series ended, the lawyer was ready to become a superhero, and Marvel Studios should use this as an opportunity to cement her in that role.
As much as we enjoyed She-Hulk's TV show, she'll excel with a big screen budget and has always been at her best while fighting alongside the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
5. Loki
Despite not being a traditional Avenger, Loki has fought on the side of the angels and we've actually watched his redemption play out across six episodes on Disney+. Heading into season 2, he's clearly looking to learn more about Kang, making him a valuable ally in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
This Loki Variant returning to the present as one of the only heroes capable of stopping the time-traveller would be great to see, especially if he ultimately goes out in a blaze of glory to save the Multiverse.
We'd be sad to say goodbye to Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief (again), but this does feel like the best place to end his story. There's also something exciting about the prospect of a suited-up Loki heading into battle alongside his former foes!
4. Daredevil
In the comic books, Matt Murdock has always avoided joining The Avengers' ranks, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case in the MCU. We'd love to see this more powerful Man Without Fear dragged into this battle, especially if Marvel Studios can find a good reason for him to be there.
Stopping Kang will require more than brute strength, and Daredevil's unique powerset could be key to stopping the villain.
Beyond that, Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law showed just how much fun it is when 'ol Hornead is allowed to play with his fellow heroes, and he could help ground the team in some ways. Marvel Studios appears to be taking Daredevil seriously, and a shot of him standing tall alongside his fellow Avengers is something we've long dreamed of.
3. Black Panther
COVID controversies aside, Letitia Wright really proved herself in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and we definitely want to see more of her in the MCU moving forward.
T'Challa's uneasy alliance with The Avengers evolved into a strong bond, and it will be fascinating to see how Shuri's dynamic with the heroes differs. She clearly isn't interested in ruling over Wakanda, so stepping up to protect the world and bring her scientific expertise to this team is going to be a must if they hope to outsmart Nathaniel Richards.
In terms of storytelling, Shuri's uneasy alliance with Namor and Talokan could lend Earth's Mightiest Heroes some serious firepower if they need to raise an army to fight an endless stream of Kang Variants.
2. Spider-Man
The rumoured leader of this new team of Avengers, we almost didn't include Spider-Man here. That hasn't been confirmed, though, and for those of you wondering, he narrowly beat the likes of Captain America, Janet Van Dyne, and Moon Knight to this spot!
Tom Holland's web-slinger has become a hugely important part of this shared world, and just because people no longer remember who is beneath the mask, that doesn't mean Peter Parker's experience won't be crucial here. His past battles aside, don't forget he's witnessed the power of the Multiverse first-hand when he met two of his own Variants!
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will benefit greatly from Spider-Man taking centre stage and we can't help but wonder whether his place in the MCU - and what happened in No Way Home - will somehow lead to him being targeted by the Kang Variants.
1. Captain Marvel
We're not saying Marvel Studios has dropped the ball on Captain Marvel, but the way she was introduced has led to the hero spending more time in space than fighting alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
It's about damn time she becomes an Avenger and this movie needs to showcase the full extent of her abilities. We'd actually like to see her lead the team in place of Spider-Man, and Carol Danvers may be the only one capable of dealing some serious damage to the Kang Variants.
Rumour has it The Marvels is a crucial chapter in the wider Multiverse Saga, so there's good reason to believe Carol will be key to this story. We'd also be excited to see Brie Larson once again reunite with filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton!
