The Avengers is looking to become the first film in history to pass a $100 million mark. Thanks to

Marvel’s The Avengers from Disney is looking to break $100M in its second weekend for the first time in movie history (beating Avatar's 75M). Saturday’s number is about $44.5M after Friday’s was $29.1M for an estimated weekend total of $104M.
The second weekend record was previously held by James Cameron's
Avatar ($75.6M). Meanwhile, Tim Burton's
Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp is on track for an underwhelming $28.5M. Also, thanks to
