If marvel studios has any good sense they stick with the original story of how the avengers assembled. That kree/skull story seems too much for the first movie.

having the right villian for this movie is the key to making it awesome. Most will argue that Kree/skrull contact will be too sci-fi and too heavy for audiences to wrap around. Even though most of the heroes in the marel universe would never exist not even plausible, the veiwers would still like some realism. I also belive that hulk/loki will be too predictible in the film. I suggest they go with the Atlanteins and the avengers have to help namor take back his throne, the fight scenes would be an army of Atlanteins vs the avengers. Or Just use the Masters of evil.

@superman5000 well said and completely agreed. It'd be better off to start with Hulk and possibly in a sequel to use a secret invasion, you know? thanks man

@themanwithaplan lol that was a good one man! I laughed out loud (no sarcasm at all) thanks dude

@kpk well, I think that with the end of Incredible Hulk that Marvel made it seem like they're going to attack Hulk because of the "unusual problem" you know? I think it could be quite exciting to see that match up. However, the Masters of Evil could be cool but I'm not sure if they're gonna have the budget for a numerous amount of villains, right? Thanks dude

@Denn1s yessir it is =D

@Stubbyswof I couldn't agree with you more. I didn't even realize I had the gum in my mouth during the video recording (yes quite stupid of me I'm aware.) That definitely won't happen again though, sorry for that!

@hammertime Well said man. However, like I stated above, I'm not sure if Marvel would be able to have a budget for multiple villains against the heroes. They want to keep the budget at 200 million I believe, and with the amount of CGI and actors they already have, it'd be very difficult to make all the villains face off against the heroes. Hulk/loki would be rather predictable I agree with you on that one. Thanks a lot for your input man!

@Deadshot agreed, that would be stupid in my opinion and takes away the whole "team work" aspect of it. They have to fight a destructive force together as one in my opinion. thanks dude!

Hulk/loki isn't good enough for the whole movie they need other villians in it to to make it what it should be. How is a hulk/loki threat much different that loki/destroyer? It needs to be a bigger threat like thanos or sutur

odinson, I can't believe you honestly asked how Hulk is different from Destroyer...

kpk, so we should take a movie that is already loaded with characters that will require a great deal of work to mesh well together in 2 hours, and pile on another 3-5 villains to further complicate it?

Bottom line, all I hear around a majority of CBM is unending bitching about these movies deviating from source material, then when one like this comes along that would ACTUALLY follow it's origin book, I hear people saying it isn't good enough... what the [frick] is wrong with you assholes! Seriously, Hulk/Loki combo was good enough to be the reason the Avengers formed 50+ years ago, but it isn't anymore? But the new X-Men movie is getting more shit than any CBM I ever saw on this site, and get this, it's mostly because the movie is titled First Class, but it isn't the real First Class. Do any of you rational CBMers see this asinine behavior too? Rabid fanboys will be the eventual Death of CBM's.

CAN someone PLZ PLZ PLZ tell me where their hearing about this movies budget? Cuz im thinkin aint no way marvel gonna go cheap with this one.

I think the avengers should stop a loki controlled hulk, put him in the team, and Go against THANOS (yeah i know my theory has a huge plot hole in it...SO :P)

Hulk will be the catalyst which brings them together. The rest of the hulk's 'story' will be whether or not he can be a trusted member of the team.

That alone makes him not very 'simplistic'.

Main villains I am guessing will be a 'common threat' and a terrorist organisation with a mega-powerful weapon. Think HYDRA/AIM with the infinite gauntlet.

That is why they will be called the 'avengers'. To avenge all the shit that HYDRA started back in WWII.

Finally I think there will be a slight Masters of Evil twist to the whole thing by having several super powered villains as part of HYDRA. Abomination, The Leader, Baron Zemo, Arnim Zola, Justin Hammer, The Hood could all be possibilities. I could even see the Black Knight or the Swordsman as one if they did him as a technological based villain like Iron Monger or Whiplash.

Start off with the Hulk manipulated by Loki fighting SHIELD/Hulkbusters.

Fury sends IM, Thor, and Cap after the Hulk.

Then, HYDRA attacks the U.S. (powered by Loki's magic).

Fury and SHIELD fight HYDRA while Cap, IM, and Thor fight the Hulk.

Then Hulk joins them, Thor goes after Loki.

Then the Avengers join SHIELD in the fight against HYDRA and defeat HYDRA while Thor defeats Loki.

This keeps them from spending more money on more characters.

The main cast stays Fury, Coulson, IM, Cap, Thor, Hulk/Banner, Hawk, Widow, and Loki as the villain.

Just add one more cast villain, since they are looking for another female lead I would have Viper leading the HYDRA attack.

That means the budget can be spent on special effects rather than high-priced actors.

We don't really need tons of villains. Loki and (a manipulated) Hulk, plus thousands of HYDRA goons/Dreadnoughts would be enough.

Its going to be hard enough getting Downey, Jackson, Johansson, Evans, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Renner, and Hiddleston enough screen time.

That is eight big time actors.

I'd love to see the Masters, but thats more actors with more lines.

Better to let the Avengers have most of the lines and let them fight the Hulk and beat up on HYDRA goons and robots that won't need lines.

What about Loki calling upon not only the skrulls but enlisting the help of red skull as well since red skull ie not dead after the last movie and looked like he got transported to another realm by the cube it only would make sense to use those 3 as a combo of villains for the avengers to fight in the 1st movie would it not???
