As filming continues on the upcoming HBO Max Batgirl movie in Glasgow, Scotland, another round of photos from the set have been shared online. Still no sign of Leslie Grace suited-up as Gotham's (other) Caped Crusader following Friday's big costume reveal, but we do have what appears to be a first look at Alysia Yeoh.
Created by Gail Simone and Ardian Syaf back in 2011, Yeoh was Barbara Gordon's close friend and roommate, and one of the first major trans characters to appear in mainstream comic books. Though the character's casting was never actually announced, the production was searching for an actor to play a "mid-20s Asian-American trans woman" last year.
We're not sure who is playing her - if indeed this is Alysia - but we'll update as soon as we learn more.
In addition, the mural of Batman and Robin that was spotted last week has now been updated. Apparently, the original one was painted over with Michael Keaton's likeness, while the Boy Wonder is now barely visible.
Batgirl will also star J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, and Jacob Scipio and Brendan Fraser in undisclosed roles (the latter is believed to be playing the villainous Firefly). It's also been confirmed that Michael Keaton's Batman will appear.
Loki composer Natalie Holt recently announced that she's signed on to work on the movie's score, while Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script.
The HBO Max movie is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. No release date has been announced.
