KICK-ASS 2 Star John Leguizamo Expresses Interest In Playing 'The Joker' In A Future BATMAN

Asked about possibly following in the footsteps of Cesar Romero by playing a "Latino Joker", Kick-Ass 2 and Ice Age star John Leguizamo has revealed that he would indeed be up for following in his and Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger's footsteps. Check it out!

In a recent interview with Desde Hollywood, Colombian American actor John Leguizamo was asked whether he would like to follow in the footsteps of Cesar Romero by being a "Latino Joker" in a future Batman movie. "Just because I have to represent my Latin people. It’s crazy. I went to Comic-Con and 50% were Latin, Black and Asian. I said 'Come on! We are so underrepresented and we support the whole industry.'" However, it sounds like the Kick-Ass 2 star is keen on taking a break from superhero and science fiction movie for the time being, although that doesn't mean he wouldn't take the job if offered! " I am not against comic-book movies. I just feel that I have seen enough zombies, vampires and apocalyptic comic-book super heroes in my lifetime. I want to see real people on screen for a while. But hell yeah, I would do Batman. The Joker would be a blast!" What do you guys think? Would Leguizamo be a good choice to play the villain somewhere down the line? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

He's a great actor, and make a great "sick" Joker similar to how Ledger's Joker was "sick". Joker needs to be really twisted in the head.

John can do it.

Can see him bringing an evil tone to The Joker but I just can't see it happening.

maybe a new version of Salvatore Maroni, but no Joker. The next Joker should be Michael C Hall

To all the people saying no:

Just remember you all said the same shit about how a gay cowboy can't play Joker and he ended up having the best damn performance in CBM history.

Bennedict Cumberpatch for Joker? or Batman?
NeoBaggins

Get his dreaming C-list ass outta here. If he wants to be a villain, he should head on over to Sony. They don't even think about the casting.

Adrien Brody if he can pull off badguy, or Tom Hiddleston if he wasn't already type-cast with Loki. But THIS dude? Please.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 8/4/2013, 5:19 AM
Cumberpatch would actually make a sick Riddler.
LEVITIKUZ

Sure another fancasting role for Cumberbatch. That marks about what? 49 different CBM roles people have wanted him for?

Very original.

/sarcasm

I will say if I could throw my Riddler pick, I would pick the tech guy for Skyfall. Forget his name and role at the moment but he would be perfect for a Riddler.

Hell, this is the first time I ever thought of Cumberpatch for ANYTHING. All that Batman and other shit floats under my radar.

And that would be Ben Whishaw.

Kinda young, but has Riddler-like pretense.

@NeoBaggins The problem with youre casting is you're trying to match faces to drawings.

Better to match acting skill with character as Nolan did with the greatest casting in CBM history with Ledger as the Joker.
No one wanted Heath Ledger and we got the greatest Joker there will ever be. And the greatest moments ever in a CBM.

*Presence [frick] you spell-corrector.

Always Like Brody because he looks like the comicbook Joker. I know he can pull off the redhood part of the Killing Joke where he's a comedian down on his luck. But I don't know how crazy he can be. Good actor so I'm sure he can muster up some villain.

NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 8/4/2013, 5:37 AM
@ManDeath

Nah, trying to match faces with drawings usually results in someone wanting an actor who looks the part but cant act. Brody has the look and he can act.

Please no. I thought he was horrible as Violator even as a kid when I first watched Spawn.

It's Cumberbatch, with a b, common mistake though.

@Ying,he is a great actor. ALphadogs, he brings it.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 8/4/2013, 5:43 AM
Yeah, Ben Foster is good and looney.

And I'm not breaking out any petitions for Brody, it was just always a cool thought. I never really thought deeply about it. Not really a fan of fan-casting in general because it's almost always terrible to see who people think should play who.

And let's not get carried away with the Ledger thing. That case is an anomaly. Everyone that wasn't a favorite didn't turn out award winning performances.
