Nice job but how does Riddler know
Bruce Wayne is Batman? The letter
should read, "From the Riddler to
The Batman!"

@DDD I made it with the idea that when the Riddler knows Batman's secret identity, sends riddle to Bruce saying that he knows that he is Batman.

well maybe the riddler has been watching batman for awhile and found out his idenity i mean the guy in the second film found outand i think the riddler is smarter than that guy.i would love to see riddler in the next film and joker mentioned in the film being locked up but pulling strings and haveing crazy people do things for him like harley quinne, and bane.i also think that poison ivey could be a really good villain if she were some kind of assassin or just a nurse or something believable who uses poisons to kill her victimes. batman having to face all of these crazy people because tyhe joker is pulling strings and haveing to deal with overwealming odds would be really good and exciting.

The movie, if indeed the riddler is the antagonist, should center around the riddler trying to uncover who batman is. But I also think that batman also needs a more physical opponent. And since it is the last Nolan movie, we bring back the league of shadows with talia al ghul and bring back ras al ghul as well.

I don't think the Joker should have anything to do with this movie. He's locked up in the nuthouse. As far as using the same idea as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs (which is an idea I've read several times on this site over the past few months), it's worth bearing in mind that the only reason the authorities turned to Lecter was because Buffalo Bill was a former patient of his. In TDK the Joker had no past, which is what made the character so interesting. To suddenly give him a background and a connection to the Riddler or any other villain, without him even been in the film, would seem a bit pointless. That's just an opinion, and I'm not the scriptwriter, so we'll just have to wait and see what Goyer and Nolan have come up with.

@ blah - Dude, you must have seen an uncut version, because I don't recollect Joker saying anything like that to Batman. It was more along the lines of not killing Batman because he has too much fun. :)

@ DCfan89 - I agree, although I wouldn't bother with the League of Shadows as they were pretty much finished off at the end of Batman Begins. Good call on Talia, but Ra's got killed in the train crash (he's not immortal in these films).

@Superguy - dude batman has some of the best villains in comics, just not the most realistic therefore its sucks when choosing who to put in the movies

I agree. Batman has one of the best rogues gallery.

@ superguy

HAHAHAHAHA. You do realize that Batman is known for having the best rogues gallery in all of comic history, right? and a good villain DOES make the hero. are you new to comics or something?

After examining Iron Man 2, and as Favreu speaks about it, I think 2 MAIN villains is about the highest number that can be reasonably dealt with - then you have a couple sort of in betweens maybe. Unlike SpiderMan 3 where they went for 3? Overload...

Anyway, like it or not... there's a 99.9% chance we're going to get The Riddler in some form or another. Another part of the reason why his mythology is so blazingly burned into pop culture is because he was one of the main rogues in the tv show... campy or not, it was the shit in those days earning a bunch of emmys.

I think if we get a shot of Arkham with some of the familiar rogues locked up - a quick walkthrough, it should be enough to satiate me and the hardcore fans? More than likely, it's going to be Nolan's magnum opus, and we're going to get to see the power that a rare successful true trilogy can hold.

And yes Batman, aside from maybe Watchmen - which Moore seems to have pulled many ideas from (and technically doesn't have any real rogues), does indeed posess the "best" rogues in comic book history. Batman was dealing with psychology and archetypes before they were even popular in the media.
