VIDEO: Jennifer Lawrence Really Really Loves THE DARK KNIGHT

In another snippet from IGN's interview with the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, Jennifer Lawrence professes her love for Batman; in particular Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. "If I'd seen Christian Bale driving through that mall I'd have thrown my underwear at him".

There's not a lot to this -- just a fan-favourite actress revealing that she really likes a fan-favourite character. Lawrence tells IGN that Batman is the on-screen hero she likes best, and while she seems to adore Christopher Nolan's middle film in his trilogy, she found The Dark Knight Rises to be "ehh". Still, I think many of us can relate to her reaction upon leaving the theatre having seen The Dark Knight for the first time (the machine-gun hands thing, not the underwear thing).

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Natalie Dormer, and Julianne Moore, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is set to be released on November 21st.

Well I'm not a DC fanboy and I loved TDKR. Maybe not quite as much as TDK but the trilogy as a whole was fantastic.

TDKR was good on its own IMO. Whenever it's depicted as amazing people have to line it up with Begins and TDK. It's OK to not like it, but even major fans of the trilogy do it.

Yeah, i'm in that grey area where one can loves both Marvel and Dc and hate their movies if they sucks (like Green Lantern, TDKR, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3...).

But I Know here you can be only Marvel or Dc fan(boys).

TDKR is not that bad, it's only written bad, with Marion Cotillard in the worst death scene ever and some stupid plot holes. Too bad, because BB and TDK are masterpieces.

The Dark Knight detective mode fighting scene made my eyes drop when I saw it in theaters. I wasn't supposed to see TDK in theatres that year, but I HAD to! I brought a 2nd copy of Batman Begins DVD because it had free tickets for TDK. It was the only time I ever actually asked to see a movie in theaters. It was worth it. The Bat-Pod scene is phenomenal! There's so many quotable dialogue that that is still relevant to this day. Long live The Dark Knight Trilogy! #DCFan4Life

@Jollem: yeah, if that's thing it's realistic and macabre, Hulk is possible in real world.
@0megaDaGod: it's ok. I'm only against DC or Marvel fanboys. I hate them. I can't believe one has to spend time on CBM trolling about one or the other one.

I'm a DC fan so F++k Marvel Studios, Iron Man and Cap.
I'm a Marvel fan so F++k TDK, Superman and Wonder Woman.

I just don't understand this guys. Pathetics.

TDKR was awesome, not as much as TDK but equal to BB IMO.

talia's death was realistic and macabre

I love TDKR but come on...

Part of me thinks Batman Begins/The Dark Knight should've been left as an epic, open-ended two-parter, kind of like what Coppola should have done with The Godfather (i.e. not made a sub-par third film).

Having said that, Rises has grown on me an awful lot in the time since its release, and I now find it fairly easy to overlook the negatives and focus on the positives (some of which are the best in the trilogy). I still think as a stand-alone film it's overrated, and definitely the weakest of the trilogy, but when watching the trilogy in its entirety as one epic story (rather than three parts), it is a lot more fitting and a more than satisfactory conclusion.
