Two New Cast Additions To The Dark Knight Rises; Daniel Sunjata Confirmed!

Well, it seems the rumor of Rescue Me actor Daniel Sunjata joining Warner Bros. & Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises film may be legit, with Variety's Jeff Sneider reporting so. In addition, also revealed to be joining are actors Diego Klattenhoff & Burn Gorman in supporting roles. Also revealing specs on their roles, the site states verbatim:

Daniel Sunjata is in early talks to play a special forces operative, while Diego Klattenhoff has been offered the part of a rookie cop. And character actor Burn Gorman is also being eyed for a supporting role.

Diego Klattenhoff credits include Mean Girls & Lucky Number Slevin, while Burn Gorman, 36, has appeared in Layer Cake & Torchwood. And while there minor roles are no surprise, TDKR is gearing up for production this summer.



Anyhow, the trio joins Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Josh Pence and Marion Cotillard rumored, The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20, next year!

They're going to be playing cops. Anyone else remember Nicky Kat's role in TDK? He was a swat officer, and his level of fame is pretty close to these guys'. I expect them to have a line or two, and then disappear for the rest of the film.

@AVEN: No more than Batman Begins or The Dark Knight did. You may not beleive this but the previous two Batman movies were loaded with characters too. Check it out if you don't believe me.

Exactly, Nolan doesn't skimp on the supporting cast. Even if it's someone you're not familiar with, they have been cast for a reason. Right down to the people on the boat. That's quality.

Once Anne Hathaway was involved, I became very concerned. Some people find her to be beautiful, some say no damn way. Most people don't realize that once they see someone becomes famous, they tend to elevate their "hotness". (Side note: Blake Lively, makes me worry about Green Lantern more than anything.) Plus even if she were "sexy", that doesn't mean she could play Catwoman. They have been careful and only said Selina Kyle, but I mean lets be honest. I am excited to see Bane done properly, if said event occurs. I would be happy with Hugo Strange. I would be happy with a serious Mr Freeze movie. I am iffy with Catwoman, but major no to Anne Hathaway Catwoman. So if Catwoman appears I have to move over to Team Grif and say [frick] catwoman and this movie.

Cuz i dont think ive seen him type a single positive thing on this site. except for that pokemon movie, which looks AWESOME btw. what set him off? has anyone ever tried to delve into the mind that is Grif and truly understand him? he seems like a facinating creature...
