Cameras are currently rolling on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in Georgia, but work on the Marvel Studios sequel has been halted today after star Letitia Wright (Shuri) was injured while performing a stunt that is said to have involved a rig of some sort, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While the actress has been taken to hospital, it's thankfully nothing serious and her injuries are minor.

"Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," reads a statement shared by a Disney spokesperson earlier today. "She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon."

It's said that the incident isn't expected to affect the Black Panther sequel's production schedule, so there's no need to worry about any sort of release date delay. Needless to say, we're wishing Wright a speedy recovery and will share any additional details with you about her status as we get them.

It was only yesterday that Wright was spotted on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever alongside Okoye actress Danau Gurira. We're assuming Shuri and Okoye were meant to be in disguise as they track down Riri Williams (a.k.a. Ironheart), but you can take a look at the photo of them both below:

@TheFinestSmack - if you are ever offered sweet tea and she disappears behind a curtain to do some laundry, you're toast.

A stunt you say?

With a rig you say?

Why so active, fair princess?....or should I say Queen?

So she actually performs stunts in this one. Interesting.

Remember that in the first one, she was mostly shooting with her arms when all the other actors performed the stunts.

@TheDoctor1225 - So you were one of those people who decided you were justified to bully a person who famously suffers from depression?

I wasn't impressed by comments made during the height of the pandemic. Could have caused some potential health problems for those who under-estimated covid. Potentially devastating.

Really soured me towards her, especially as a scientific genius in a marvel film, but this is horrible & I wish her the best & a quick recovery.

@nmasterofnaught - She only questioned the safety of the vaccine, right? Was there something else?

@TheFinestSmack - No she was right to question the safety. People still are, but from what I was reading at the time, she took much of her information from a christian shaman? & used her social media platform (however powerful or not) to spread non-scientific fact, during a very difficult time.

@nmasterofnaught - Ah gotcha. I was gonna say, I'm still not vaccinated yet because my dad reacted poorly to it and died 3 months ago. Has me scared and I absolutely question the safety on SOME level. Also, there are Christian shamans?!? WTH

@nmasterofnaught - It was 2020, we were all in bad mental places and little reminder: Letitia Wright famously suffers from chronic depression. Every single person who worked to bully her like this should be absolutely ashamed of themselfs and certainly doesn#t get to act all concerned about potential health problems.

@Drace24 - I agree completely. She shouldn't be bullied.
