BLACK PANTHER's Chadwick Boseman On Possible Killmonger Return In Sequel; AVENGERS: ENDGAME Excitement

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has been exceptionally tight-lipped when it comes to possible spoilers for the sequel of his standalone movie and Avengers: Endgame. Naturally, he was asked about both.

We've known for a while now that Marvel's billion-dollar blockbuster Black Panther will be getting a sequel. While most of the focus right now is on Avengers: Endgame, Chadwick Boseman, who plays King T'Challa, was asked for an update on the highly anticipated sequel to the standalone movie. Unfortunately, he offered little in terms of details.

"I'm in the loop," Boseman responded when asked if returning director/writer Ryan Coogler was keeping him up to date with pre-production process, adding that he's "excited about" the early ideas Coogler has come up with.

One of those ideas could be the return of Michael B. Jordans's Erik Killmonger, though no one from Marvel Studios has actually confirmed his return. "I can't speak on that," Boseman said when asked what he thought about the prospect of Killmonger returning in the sequel. "I can't tell you what I think about it. If I tell you what I think about it, it would be revealing something."

For what it's worth, Entertainment Tonight previously reported that everyone will be returning for Black Panther 2, including Michael B. Jordan, and Boseman's hesitance to talk about it kind of seems like an admission by omission.

Boseman was equally tight-lipped about the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. T'Challa was one of the many heroes that were wiped to dust with the Thanos snap and Boseman has done a magnificent job of not spoiling his role - if any - in the upcoming movie. He's been consistent in offering his thoughts on the film as someone who does not have a part in it. Boseman was also asked about Avengers: Endgame and if he was excited about it, and the actor's answer was equally as intriguing.

"Yeah, it'd be great, you know, looking at it from the outside in," Boseman said with a smile, suggesting he will return at some point. Asked if the fallen will be avenged, Boseman responded coyly: "Some."

As frustrating as these vague responses may be, you've got to hand it to Boseman and the rest of the cast and crew of Avengers: Endgame for being able to keep a secret for a film as large as Avengers: Endgame. Thankfully, the wait won't be too much longer.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26. Tickets for the blockbuster went on sale earlier this week, smashing presale records.

he death was one of the more felt in the MCU, i think it should be flash back or the plain, nothing of a resurrection.

You could scrap him or you could have him in there but only in a small, but still mildy substantial part.

The Ancestral Plane is the way to do it.

I assume he was given a proper burial in Wakanda so I want to say he is not doomed to the area of The Plane that N'Jobu is. But it also seems that wherever your heart truly lies, that is where your spirit rests in the Ancestral Plane. N'Jobu's heart was in Oakland so his purgatory in the plane was there.

Erik was still that angry young boy so maybe he's playing ball now as he rests

Killmonger will be in the ancestral plane. I imagine T'Challa will need to visit him for advice or something during the course of the sequel.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Off-topic: Yo, I finally got my ticket for Endgame. April 25, 12:50 Am! What's even better is because I live so far from the theater, I'll be staying at a 4-star hotel nearby.
