Just a few weeks ago, Blue Beetle was tracking for a dismal $12-$17 million domestic opening, but more recent reports now have the Angel Manuel Soto-directed superhero pic opening at $30 million, a sizable uptick.
The news comes amid positive early test screenings and rumors of two post-credit scenes that reportedly hint at Ted Kord's future in the DC Studios cinematic universe.
Now, a new behind-the-scenes look at Blue Beetle has been released, and it's evident that Jaime Reyes actor Xolo Maridueña did a lot of his own stuntwork.
Previously, Maridueña hinted that he's discussed Blue Beetle's future with James Gunn and that if audiences respond to the film, there will definitely be a place for Jaime Reyes in the new DC film canon that starts with James Gunn's Superman: Legacy.
