The Russos Discuss How The Events Of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Will Affect INFINITY WAR

We only have two more years until Thanos finally emerges to confront Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the first installment of Avengers: Infinity War.  In the meantime there's a Civil War brewing between our heroes, and that isn't going to leave them in the best place to take on the biggest threat they've ever known. In a recent interview, directors Joe & Anthony Russo elaborated on how the Avengers' status at the end of Civil War makes for a great storytelling opportunity for the next installment. "What we love about [the Marvel Cinematic Universe] as storytellers is that we get to tell a story over the course of movies. We get to take the characters on journeys that, again, can be unique to the cinematic experience. So knowing that we’re doing Infinity War really informs Civil War because we knew we wanted to leave the characters in as complicated a place as possible to set up Infinity War. You gotta walk into that movie going, ‘How the hell are they going to figure this out? Can they ever repair it? What’s going to happen?’ The greatest threat that the universe has ever seen is coming, and they’re completely fractured."

Be sure to watch the full interview with the Russos below! Captain America: Civil War releases May 6, 2016.

How will they repair things?

If the universe is at stake, I think they can get over a little misunderstanding.

Yeah the ending was pretty bloody serious. The falling out Stark and Rogers had looks to be irreparable, but Thanos is coming.
