Anna Kendrick Keeps Mum On Involvement with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

Seemingly confirming that she's involved to a certain extent, Up in the Air Oscar-nominated actress Anna Kendrick has vaguely responded to possibly starring in the Captain America sequel!

Beyond Anthony Mackie’s ‘Falcon’ role and Hayley Atwell’s coy ‘Peggy Carter’ reprisal, three other actresses — Imogen Poots, Felicity Jones, and Anna Kendrick — slipped through the trades as front-runners for a part in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And while Kendrick is reportedly the top choice for the Marvel role, believed to be Sharon Carter, we’ve yet to hear anything from either of the actresses, until now.

Ain’t It Cool News recently caught up with the Academy Award nominated Up in the Air actress, promoting David Ayer’s End of Watch. And in response to a question regarding her involvement with the 2014 sequel, Anna Kendrick reworded the usual “no comment.”

“All I know is that I can not really say anything,” she said before adding “Sorry, man.”

Given that there’re 2 other Marvel sequels currently filming, and recurring ‘Steve Rogers’ actor, Chris Evans recently confirmed that production on the “political thriller” won’t start for another six months, new Captain America: The Winter Soldier casting announcements shouldn’t be expected anytime soon. Described as a political thriller, Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where the highly anticipated film “Marvel’s The Avengers” (May 4, 2012) leaves off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) continues his affiliation with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. With an expected return from James 'Bucky' Barnes (Sebastian Stan), actor Anthony Mackie is also set to star. And Anthony & Joe Russo (“Community,” “You, Me and Dupree”) take over directorial duties from Joe Johnston, who helmed the first film. And “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” hits theaters on April 4, 2014.

I don't like the fact cap will have a new love interest soooo soon. I mean shit he just woke up, and helped save the world, he hasn't had too much time to think about Peggy. So why toss him a new possible love interest this soon?

Someone needs to get in Ashley Johnson's Face and question her about Cap 2. She was way to flirty and had way to much screen time (Including Deleted Scenes) to not be ever seen again.

I hope she has nothing to do with this movie. Every movie I see her in I just hate her. Don't know how she got nominated for an Oscar since she comes off as a face put in movies regardless of acting abilities (And I am very generous with calling her a face with hers just annoying me every time I look at it.)

I would not say that he had a "love" interest in the first movie. More of an infatuation that never got to pan out. Besides, take away all the comic gloss and he is still a guy. I'm sure he would want some of her :)

I'd hit it. I think you're all thinking too "inside the box" with this one. I think she'd make a perfect Madam Hydra/ Viper, or it could be a tie-in with Iron Man and we get our glimpse of Madame Masque (that way, the face is covered- for all of you idiots that don't appreciate beauty)! My two cents...

No. Those two are great, talented and attractive, but Hayley was perfect in CA:TFA. She was also good in the so-so Prisoner revamp. Actresses that get boob jobs usually make me lose respect for said actresses, but some can pull through and still give great performances. Another that's good despite having two gravity defying balloons on her chest is Rhona Mitra. Look at Sif(Jaime Pressly?) in Thor. She's doesn't have the augmented stripper body, but yet is still smoking hot and is believable in the role.
