Great designs for a great movie. Had plenty of flaws, but it was probably the most earnest Phase 1 movie with the most amount of heart. Sequel improved upon it in almost every single aspect, but The First Avenger is definitely criminally underrated.

It seems that Marvel Studio doesn't even know which design direction they want to go with this flick.

I remember, Feige mentioned, that they want the design to look like it exist in the 1940s

and they end up looking like GI Joe: Rise of Cobra

Love the German naval camo job on the bomber, kinda wish they'd gone with that.

@mightofsentinel

I thought the look of the vehicles was totally appropriate, especially for a secret division of the Nazis which researches alien technology. Sort of a hybrid of Flash Gordon and steampunk.

It's true that some of the weaponry seen in CA:TFA is mainly fictional and way futuristic, but actually a few of these designs are very similar to some of the Germans early projects or prototypes during the later stages of the war:

Godzilla did 93 million this weekend.

That means Cap beat up Spidey and Godzilla.

Both were released in more theaters (although Godzilla was very close in number of theaters) and both were May releases instead of April.

Cap rocks! 'Murica!!!

TWS was pretty much the best G.I. Joe movie ever made.

Hasbro, quit making those movies because it's futile. You'll never make one as good as TWS.

Never.
